Hotels in Old Town Split

"Location is excellent, right on the waterfront, and close to Diocletians Palace area. Walkable from the TP Line ferry if you arrive from the islands (other ferries are a bit farther away). No cars allowed in that area, so if you come by car you'll have to drag your bags a little ways. The Rive is flat and easy to navigate with luggage. Location was both a plus (ocean views) and a minus as in our case there was a huge festival on the waterfront, including huge crowds and VERY LOUD music & fireworks which went late each night (and throbbed through the walls even with windows closed and ear plugs in!). We didn't get any extra sleep that's for sure. We made an effort to find restaurants away from the waterfront as there was no getting into anything along there. Front desk staff were helpful. Breakfast was made-to-order and good. They made us to-go sandwiches for our early morning departure to the airport on our last day."

"Beware hotel room description is misleading. We had the studio suite and the description said '1 king bed/2 single beds and 1 queen bed'. However the room DOES Not have a queen bed, it is a very uncomfortable sofa bed. When we complained, staff blamed it on Hotel.com, but didn't really do anything it. Breakfast is awful - don't bother. Breakfast is next door to the hotel. Staff are rude, very limited choice, no explanation as to what is included in the breakfast. We had scrambled eggs, which were not cooked thoroughly and gave us a funny stomach. Toast was burnt, and when asked for another toast the second one was burnt again! However, location is amazing and extremely convenient. Hotel is spotless and room was very clean."

"What a great hotel stay. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Very nice and comfortable rooms. Only complaint is the small flashing red light on the ceiling smoke detector which can be disruptive when sleeping"

"Breakfast at the nearby restaurant was very good. Apartment was perfect location, balcony in the 2 BR was a treat! The bath in the primary bedroom was tiny but good water pressure and very clean. No 'designer' toiletries and no in-room safe, but I would still stay here again. Ivana was very kind and helpful."

"Good location in old town, walking distance to everything. Rooms a bit outdated. Hot water went out and hotel staff was unable to provide any info as to when it would be working again, cold showers were not fun. Aside from an apology nothing was done to rectify situation. Don’t waste your money, stay somewhere nicer."
