Went to visit with my brother who lives near Sumter. But also did the touristy things. Walked at Swan Lake. Took in a show at the Opera House. And strolled the downtown area.

It seems like a town that is very diverse as far as having an historical downtown to a modern outskirts with all of the attractions, stores, and restaurants

City looks a bit run down. Some people might not feel comfortable being out late at night.

Cute town just not allot of shopping downtown. Kinda disappointing. I booked this as a via destination on our travels home. I typically don't spend this much but was excited about the downtown area. Very disappointing and out almost 200. For nothin.

Well its not like i haven't visited Sumter before. I have families staying in various parts of Sumter. Getting to my events and stores were easily accessed.

Came for the Festival, but the parade and quality of the experience had diminished.
"I stayed here for four nights and cooked a meal on the last night. The property is under construction and it looked like a construction zone. There was no ventilation in my room requiring me to open the door to air out the smoke while cooking. That was when my dog got out of the room, and we returned home without him. Fortunately, someone found him, and we made a second trip to retrieve him. We stayed at the same hotel out of convenience, but I'd never stay here again."
"1st time staying at a Tru it was nice and clean. Loved the self make pancake machine. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Overall just a great and experience. Thank you "
