Downtown area is clean and hospitable. We live in the area and are used to the city. It's very small compared to say New York or Atlanta, but it has city charm without the whole ordeal of trying to get in and out of the city. I really like it.

The Saluda Riverwalk is beautiful. Be sure to travel the 30 minutes to Congaree National Park and if nothing else do the boardwalk trail. Mellow Mushroom Pizza has outstanding food and fun atmosphere!

Columbia has 2 Riverwalk/bike trails. Crowded because the scenery and location is good. Plenty of places to sit and relax. We ate at Zesto burgers and it was delicious.

Everything you could ask for and more very modern better than Charlotte because it's smaller with same venues, shopping, and more

Very clean, lively Saturday market on Main street... but why is everything closed on the weekend?

Small town vibe in a fair-sized capital city. USC and S.C. political infrastructure dominates the building and landscape. A slow paced charm.
