Shopping was fun unless a cruise ship was docked & then it was crazy crowded. I enjoyed going back in the evening & I appreciated that the shops and dining options were available when lots of places close. Blueberry Ice Cream & popcorn were amazing!

Bar Harbor is a lovely little town which is quite vibrant early evening. We arrived early in the season but most of the restaurants were open and there was a good choice . Lots of quaint shops. Great location to visit Arcadia national park

Lovely downtown area with affordable parking. Leary's Irish pub was a repeat food spot! Great small shops with tons of family friendly activities. You will need a parking pass for the national park (ours was $35 for 7 days).

We walked all of the downtown area in a couple of hours. It was an easy 28 minute drive to Acadia National Park. We watched the sunset up on Cadillac Mountain before we checked in, and got up early to watch the sun rise.

Nice coastal town area- some interesting shops- mostly touristy. The selling point is how close it is to Acadia Park which is the main draw. In addition to park trails/ drives, don't miss the Azelea Gardens.

Bar Harbor was very fun with great access to Acadia National Park. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Going in September was nice as it was less crowded both in town and at the Park.

Busy little town full of shops and restaurants. Parking is difficult and traffic challenging even in October. Shuttle bus service is available from the hotel to Downtown. Didn't use it but probably would in peak summer season. Loved Acadia NP!!!

"We loved our room especially with the wallpaper, which suited it perfectly. Christopher at the front desk was a delight and font of information, and it was wonderful to have a reserved parking spot for our room. The room was spotless with some of the best pillows we’ve ever encountered on a trip. It was an easy walk to several restaurants and also to Main Street. The front desk also helped us make last minute reservations for accessing Cadillac Mountain, though the weather was not in our favor. We plan on returning to Bar Harbor, and want to stay in Room 3 again!"
"The only downside to this property was that you pay for an ocean view room and indeed you can see the ocean but it’s quite a distance away. We had not been to this area before and didn’t know the lay of the land so it was a little unexpected to be so far away from the ocean and have a ocean view."
"Excellent location-walking distance to restaurants and stores. You can walk to Acadia trails or the Village Green to take the free shuttle up to Acadia. "
"This was our first time to Bar Harbor and we are in love with this little town. Our hotel location was within walking distance of restaurants, bars, parks and the water front. Yet, it was just far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hotel room and grounds were lovely and so clean. The pool was a nice surprise and we took advantage of the cool, clean water and comfy lounge chairs. The location was just a short drive down the road from Acadia and all the trails and easy coastal access. The hotel front desk was very friendly and had great recommendations for dining options. We even left an item behind and they were kind enough to mail it back to us. I highly recommend staying here. Clean, quiet, affordable, accessible. Thanks for making our weekend so peaceful and relaxing. "
