"Parking basically doesn’t exist which was not advertised. The valet parking in the building only had room if were staying one night so my daughter and I had to drive around and park a couple blocks away. The garage had no elevator so we had to cart a big suitcase down the driveway ramps of the garage and then walk a couple blocks to finally get to the hotel. "

"This was my first stay at Freehand. I was in a shared quad dorm. Obviously you do your best to be a good dorm mate (ie be quiet when others a sleeping, dont take forever in the bathroom etc). I was surprised that the bar was so lively. They have a laundry room as well as a fitness room. Proximity was perfect. I decided not to pay $60 for an Uber to Midway and instead walked around the block to the Red Line and for $2.50 road the L. Staff was friendly and I'd definitely consider staying there again."

"Our room was directly next to the elevators and it was very noisy all night long. The AC would not go below a certain temperature and it was very warm in the room all night no matter how low the temperature was placed. The room was very small and did not provide a lot of comfort. "
