"Cabin 105 has an unacceptable shower. The fact that the showerhead is not quite attached is less of a problem than the fact that the water can be adjusted as either scalding or freezing, but no happy medium. The wifi was wimpy. The cabin itself was sweet, though there were 4 of us adults, so it was incredibly cramped. It's in a beautiful area."

"The property feels like it SHOULD be amazing, but there's just a few things that made it just okay for us, and for others a nightmare. The most glaring issue is the check in process. The listing says you'll get an email with a code to check in but you will not get this if you book through Expedia or any other 3rd party sites. I messaged them on Expedia and they didn't respond when it was time to check in. I borrowed a locals phone and called the number, and was lucky enough that they answered and I got a code to get in, but then I watched multiple other couples try to do the same and they wouldn't answer so they were stuck sitting in the lobby for hours and hours hoping someone would eventually pick up, well after check in time. Eventually hours and hours after we got lucky with our call and checked in, they did end up getting back to me through Expedia message and they gave me someone elses code to their room?? I told them I already had my own and I don't need a second room. They didn't respond. They also clearly only do maintenance on the lobby/bathroom area infrequently. Every single soap dispenser in all 6 bathrooms was empty, towels were on the floor, there were no garbage bags in the bins so you had to save all your garbage and throw it in the bathroom bins. Very odd overall"

"Wonderful hotel at the base of the waterfall. Great amenities and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was superb. I have been craving bacon and eggs and I finally got it. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!!"

"I booked two rooms and one room is standard size. The other one is too small. We can't keep the bags. And both of them the showers are too narrow-14 inches wide. And the shower curtain is lying on our body during showers. Very bad experience. But the common kitchen is good."

"This host needs to make 3 major changes! 1. Update your hours of operation with Online Travel Agency (OTA)'s. 2. STOP taking people's money before verifying if they can fulfill they're promise to provide lodging. (If you can take time to send an email to change the hours of your operation than you could have emailed me the code to gain entry after taking my money, thus avoiding a unsatisfied customer). 3. Make themselves available to their guests, especially in cases of emergency. Even Expedia couldn't make contact with this host. "Free phone in lobby" simply was not present and "phone numbers provided were out of service. After other guests tried helping us at the hotel, there was a general consensus this property had much to offer but was poorly managed. All our other stays in Iceland were idyllic and ranged from campgrounds, to hostels, to high-end hotels. At the very least this host could have some consideration for their neighbors who, I unfortunately had to wake up to ask permission to stay in their parking lot overnight, as they were sold out. Much appreciation to the kind lady at Drangshlid Hotel. I will book with them next time in the area!"
