We've been coming to Gettysburg since we were kids, we're in our 50's now and still love to visit. We used to bring our children, now we bring our grandchildren. We always see or learn something new! The people of Gettysburg are friendly and helpful

O'Rorkes is a great place - try the French onion soup, the Blue and Gray has great cheese steaks, The Upper Crust was great for old games and the Mac and Cheese bites were AMAZING! The Gettysburg Diorama was such a cool experience, highly recommend!

The Gettysburg Visitor's Center and the park is excellent. Definitely take a tour(s), and walk in the park if you're able to do that. For those who can't then the park has a self-guided Auto Tour. Parking was not fun in downtown related to dining.

It's been nearly 30 years since I had visited Gettysburg, and was blown away at the quaintness of the town and it's plethora of dining and shopping options. Will be back soon for a long weekend to do a deep dive of the history and broader region!

We were in Gettysburg for the 161st battle reenactment and had a good (but hot) experience. There was a great variety of nearby tours, venues, shops and restaurants to choose from also. The staff at all these were very friendly and helpful.

If you like vacationing in historic places, definitely make Gettysburg part of your bucket list. The double-decker bus tour (reserve upper deck seats!) was interesting. The tour guide was the best!

I highly recommend the Adams County Historical Society museum. I was surprised how good it was for such a local place. The Beyond the Battlefield civilian experience is top notch.

So much to do and such an awesome place to visit around the holidays! Everything was decorated beautifully. So many great restaurants, shops, museums and tours.
"This is value for the money. Older? Yes. A bit rough around the edges? Yes. But location here is great, within walking distance along the main drag. Fancy? Certainly not but the rooms were clean, the water hot when needed, the AC was perfect, the pool was clean as well. The staff, top marks for working with what they have. And that by no means is meant as an insult. Book a room at this old school motel, save some dollars, enjoy your stay. "
"From check in to checkout, everything was 2 thumbs up, from staff friendliness, the clean rooms, the view of Baltimore St. off the 5th floor. Really enjoyed the nice breakfast and the spacious CLEAN food area and seating area. Definitely will visit again!!"
