Absolutely beautiful little resort town on the Bras Dor lakes. Peaceful and stunningly georgeous surroundings. Nearby restaurants a little pricey for what you get but that is normal for a location like this.

Good
Small community with a few nice restaurants, cafes & shops. A couple restaurants have water views. A good place to stay as you explore the Cabot Trail.

Excellent
Beautiful location convenent to the Cabot Trail and the rest of Cape Breton.
"We were pleasantly surprised how nice this facility is. Our room had a lake view that was totally awesome.
Unfortunately it rained the day we were there but it didn't dampen our experience. After a short road trip to see the Cabot trail, we stayed in our room and enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful view.
The room was spacious and very clean.
The lodge is short 5 minute drive to Baddeck. Which offers many excellent dining options and is a charming village. "
"The landscape is beautiful, with easy access to the beach. We enjoyed the restaurant that offers live music and appreciated the proximity of various dining options. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, we did notice spiders, flies, and mosquitoes in our room, indicating a need for pest control. Additionally, the toilet bowl is too low, which may not be safe for guests with knee problems or osteoarthritis."
"Excellent stopover on our way to Newfoundland. The owner is renovating and there is a marked difference compared to our stay in December. Great location. Good breakfast. Wonderful people."
"We were greeted by the hotel staff with a big smile and she was very bubbly and friendly. We chatted about our home towns and she told us about great locations in the area for dinner. Checkin was really fast and easy. We got the key and made our was to our room. The rooms cleanliness was exceptional. There wasnt a spec of dust or piece of dirt to be found. The beds were very comfortable. I would 100% recommend this motel to anyone travelling through that area of the province and will stay there again myself if I find myself in the area. "
