We were lucky to catch the last glimpse of summer-like weather on an October weekend. Not a mid-summer buzz of activity but a pleasant and quiet experience. Enjoyed the bike ride to Northern Lighthouse and the famous Block Island half-marathon race.

Excellent
Great place to rent a bike & ride to the Southeast Lighthouse & take pictures from Mohegan Bluffs, enjoy the beaches with clear refreshing water, sit on the porch to enjoy the view, hike to the North Lighthouse, dine at an outdoor restaurant.

This was our first visit to Block Island. The ocean water was chilly in early June but we did swim anyway and enjoyed the beach. This is a great family destination. It would be great to have more protected bike routes separate from roadways.

Excellent
1st weekend in October was surprisingly warm and un-crowded for the penultimate weekend of the season. Most places close up after Columbus Day weekend. Great for a getaway night.

Block island was beautiful it is sad but makes it hard for people to visit when hotels charge insane prices for a room equivalent to your parents house.

Unique place with very remote feel. Good bike riding as all roads are the same speed limit - 25 mph.
"Rooms are nicely remodeled. Common areas could still use some updating. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"
"I just stayed at the Blue Dory on Friday July 11th. I cant wait to stay again. My room was on the 3rd fl which I didn't mind. There is a fire door at the top of the stairs that swings all the way open and my adorable room was at the end of the hallway. The room was so clean, bathroom was perfect and included a jetted tub. The lotion and hand soap they use smells amazing. There is lovely scent throughout the house. My bed was very comfortable the host was so easy to communicate with and so friendly. They also offer breakfast and wine and cheese appetizer hour. The breakfast was located in the basement and they had everything you could think of. Excellent stay and will definitely be back. "
"This property is stunning. One of the statement places on the island. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. We had an issue with our room, they upgraded us for one of the most beautiful rooms, no questions asked! "
