The Francis Marion Hotel

"My sister and I stayed here for our trip to Charleston and this hotel did not disappoint. You get exactly what you’re looking for, a historic hotel within walking distance, a beautiful lobby and interior with updated rooms but still having that old charm to it. The room was spacious with 2 large closets and a full length mirror (very much appreciated by my sister and I) The bathroom was smaller but to be expected with older hotels, the only downfall was the plumbing. The water pressure wasn’t the greatest so made for longer showers and the toilets didn’t flush well. But the hotel is in a perfect area. We flew in and didn't have personal transportation and were able to walk all over for great shopping, restaurants and sites. If we decide to return for another trip to Charleston we would definitely stay here again. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant in the hotel but it’s very convenient to have as well as a coffee shop. "
"Hats off to staff at the front desk. Checking in was fast and easy. I have nothing to complain about! Everything was great! Being able to view the ocean in the morning is amazon. My girls and I enjoyed cooking all our meals and sitting on the balcony.We are plaining to return in November."

"Allowed early check in due to off season. Check in/out was easy. Staff was great and informative on resort amenities, hours and options. Room was large and room and view was great. Octoberfest happening and was fun. Pools were great "
