"We've stayed at this hotel in the past, always a great experience. This time round it was that much better because of the staff. The lady working on reception when we checked in, was friendly and efficient. Accommodating to our request on check in for a fan, and for a later check out. It was hugely appreciated. Will definitely be back!"
"Easy car parking. Beautiful manor house with lots of history, artifacts and rustic features.
The corridors are a little creaky but carpeted and steps leading to the upstairs rooms are shallow and with handrail.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room had all the necessary things - kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, shampoo, shower gel and conditioner.
WiFi was easy to connect to, there was an information point with leaflets for local attractions and the restaurant easy to book on arrival."
"Perfect location, helpful friendly staff, room very clean, beds very comfy, have stayed here everytime im in durham, perfect thank you
Food in bar are great too"
"Okay but very corporate and a disgrace you have to pay £15 to park in their carpark overnight. Ridiculous it’s £16 each for breakfast or £29 for room service breakfast for one?? Drinks extortionate - £16 for small wine and a pint??? Get a grip folks! Wetherspoons is just the other side of the bridge - greed will be your downfall "
