"The location was excellent and the staff are very helpful, the room was nice and large but not very clean it looked old and tired, that said the whole place was showing it's age. On the plus side the food was excellent along with how quiet the hotel is, this ideal if you want to relax. We would go back again even though it had it's small faults."
"Another very comfortable stay for 2 nights. Room service menu was disappointing and had to eat in bar. Food was lovely, but after 7hrs of driving just.wanted to crash in room.
Maybe this could be reviewed on a case by case situation."
"We had a very comfortable and peaceful overnight stay and slept very well in the bed which was very comfortable. Breakfast was exactly the food we enjoy and we were very happy with it all."
"Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very nice, pool and spa were lovely and food was good. My only complaint about the room would be that the bed was too hard.
The hotel is on a steep hill so if, like me, you have health issues you'll need to get a taxi back from the centre of Torquay."
"The kitchenette rooms are lovely and spacious with good facilities. Beds are huge and super comfy, TV was massive! Room was clean and quiet. Staff both at reception and at the breakfast were very friendly and made you feel at ease. Breakfast was especially good with lots of nice options, you don’t feel rushed to get in and out so you can really take your time in there. A lovely stay."
"Due to a wedding in the property, which we were not warned about (apparently Hotel can't contact Expedia customers), we got very little sleep. Some of the wedding guests decided to have their own party/social event between 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM meaning we got virtually no sleep. Rang reception to inform them of the noise at 3.45am. They told us they couldn't do anything and to ask for financial compensation when we checked out in the morning.
Such a shame as the room was beautiful and we were upgraded. Unfortunately we were upgraded to a room which was noisier above the smoking area! The guests also left shoes and other rubbish around the hotel which we noticed in the morning going to breakfast."
