"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience overall. The building is more than 150 years old and full of character, with a real sense of history and many renowned personalities having stayed here over the years. The age of the property does show through in places if you look closely, but this only adds to its charm rather than taking anything away from the stay.
What truly makes this hotel special is the people. Every single member of staff I encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help, always with a smile. Their attitude and service turned a beautiful old hotel into a genuinely memorable experience.
The only small criticism is that the menu could include more options for vegan guests. Expanding the vegan choices would make the dining experience even better and ensure that all dietary preferences are well catered for. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel that I would be very happy to return to and recommend to others."
"Great experience for my first time in Sri Lanka, I was looked after very well by Lakshitha, Hiranya and Tharusha whom I thank very much.
I will be back!"
"Centrally located we felt very safe at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good with plenty of options."
