hotel. We were welcomed with chocolates and a gift bear, “George.” The lobby was very welcoming with multiple seating areas. There were complimentary apples in baskets on the different floors. There is a reading library and an outdoor garden, as well. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable. We could not hear our neighbors.
The restaurant was excellent. The food was well prepared. We would gladly eat there...

"I stayed a couple of nights in a single room with a shared bathroom. It was simple, but clean and comfortable, and it had everything I needed for a short stay. I also liked that the shared bathrooms were single occupancy instead of having to share a bathroom with several other people using different stalls, as I've seen at other hostels. The location was convenient, and it was easily walkable to everything I needed."

Beyond clean, plenty of room, remodeled. Didn’t mention the heated bathroom floor? Staff from checkin to the bar were amazing. "

B&B.The home is a lovingly restored turn of the century masterpiece, the gardens further the ambience of English gentility and the hosts could not be more engaging and accommodating. The impeccable decorating, the elegant breakfast… I could go on. Suffice it to say that we would return to Christchurch if for no other reason, to revisit this wonderful place. "
