It was a lovely property and the staff was so friendly and nice. The food was good. The road to get there was 2 miles and a single lane for both ways, but that is not uncommon in Isle of Skye. Would recommend!

Redwood house has an incredible view of the ocean. It is set well off the main road, 2 miles, and let’s it’s guest feel like they are truly as far from the stress, strife and commotion of a city as one can be while still being pampered with good food and a well stocked bar.

Redwood House and their staff are amazing! John goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The accommodations are incredible and the views are spectacular on the loch. Briony, her daughter & Ludmilla the front of the house ladies were fantastic. Great service, friendly & always helpful with any question or need. Briony makes the very best Gin and Tonics I have ever had. Dining room had fantastic food too. A little out of the way, but worth it !!

The property needs a re-boot! Despite our room having a recent upgrade, repairs are in order. The bathroom floor is lifting and the baseboards in and around the bathroom door are dirty, the tub faucet needs replacing - the button controlling water temperature will not turn to cold. It took numerous attempts to close one of windows as the mechanism is sprung. The carpets in the room need cleaning and the hallway and stair carpets are dirty and lifting. Young afternoon/evening staff are friendly and helpful. The same cannot be said for morning staff in the dining room. Worst coffee of my entire trip through Scotland!

Beautiful quiet location.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views of the loch from the lounge and dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful but service at evening dinner was very slow at times. The hotel is small and was built about 10 years ago. It appears to have been originally well specified at the time but, being hyper- critical, 10 years' use is starting to show up now in places. Nevertheless we would be happy to stay again, especially if the perfect weather could be repeated!

Such an adorable little hotel on the lake. I stayed a short time and wish I had longer. I got in very late but had called and John was super helpful and friendly and made sure I had what I needed when I got in and reminded me to get food first bc nothing around there after their restaurant closes. Very helpful and kind of him bc I forget things close early and I forget to eat. Breakfast was good. John was super nice and gave me ideas where to go and even shared a picture he took of the sunset with me bc I missed it. And I loved the drive in with all the sheep neighbors to the hotel. I'm an animal but and that made me happy just driving in and being able to count my sheep before I got there and went to bed! 😜

We have a two floor cabin and it was fairly nice. It wasn't really nice, just nice enough. The included continental breakfast had the usual items. For the money, it was a good value.

The hotel is located quite far from the city center, which may not be ideal for those hoping to explore more easily. Reaching it also requires navigating some rough roads, with potholes—some nearly a foot deep—that make the drive a bit of an obstacle course. Dining options are extremely limited, and the breakfast was just so-so.

This was a beautiful rural property with lots of character. the road in was a single lane road with lots of potholes, but once entering the property the driveway was great with easy parking. rooms were large on a courtyard configuration. On site restaurant served excellent food and staff was outstanding . The complimentary continental breakfast was awesome and a lot more then we have experienced in other establishments. An outstanding stay and will highly recommend.
