The cabins are good, but check in is hopeless. No one picking up the phone during check-in hours is beyond frustrating. Other guests gave up, we called them for almost two hours before anybody answered.

We loved this place! The living area was nice and spacious with a full kitchen, couch, and dining table. The property was very clean upon arrival and we got the codes to our rooms in a timely manner. The homes are very nice and quaint and have excellent surrounding views. Really enjoyed it!

This was an amazing stay, wish I got to see some northen lights, however the oven didnt work when we got there. The owners never sent an email with the code however bookings rep was super helpful. Overall this was a great experience and would do it again.

Great space. Could get a little tight if 2-3 people but it was great. The only thing was we were told we would receive an email 24 hours before arrival with code but we didn’t. Had to turn on international phone plan to call and get code. Other than that it was great and would stay again.

Absolutely loved my stay here - the holiday home are based in such a picturesque location with the dramatic mountains surrounding you. Although the bedroom was a little on the small size, the bed was big enough and was perfect for me and my partner to settle into after a long day of driving. The holiday home had a lovely bathroom (with heating flooring) and a fully functioning kitchen providing a microwave which was very handy. We were due to receive a confirmation email 24 hours prior to arriving at the hotel with our own individual code to access our key to our cabin. However, I did not receive this code which meant I had to ring the contact number. Nevertheless, once the phone call was completed everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend staying here as it was one of my most favourite locations during our travels around Iceland.

Guesthouse with poor communication, no Internet

Stayed in this guesthouse for 3 days during my Icelandic trip. The guesthouse is located in the middle of Selfoss and Vik. To shop for things you need to go to a nearby town. My main complaints are: 1. Receiption is non-existent. The hotel management did not respond to my email inquiries; they only responded to one text message and ignored my subsequent requests. If you missed a short window of their phone call availability (4pm-9pm) you will not get the key code to enter the room. 2. Horribly spotty Wifi and cell phone signals. The WiFi routers are located 70-200m away from the guesthouses. They got overloaded when many people are using at the busy hours. You don't get any luck with cell phone services because it's so remote. Forgot about staying connected while staying here. I would love if the hotel can procide guidance to nearby attractions. The swimming pool shown in the hotel listing is ancient and now closed to public access.

It was actually okay. We received an email prior to arrival which told us the number of the unit we were in incl the code to get the key. It was a rainy, ten degree centigrade summer day and the unit was really cold, heating worked only kind of. Otherwise it was alright, a little pricey though.

We booked this day of because high winds made setting up our tent challenging and we were so grateful we did! Comfy space, warm shower, great little kitchen and sitting area and comfy beds. Kept us warm and safe during an orange weather warning with snow and high winds.

Das Haus war an sich ok, leider nur dreckig. Der Boden war komplett voller dreck. Den ersten Tag fehlte der Regler an der Bad Heizung also lief diese die komplette zeit durch was das Haus unerträglich heiß machte
