No coffee or eateries around in such a huge place. Closest Timhortons is 15 kms away. Not a place for your leisure stay. Rooms are clean but be cautious while you check in ensure what is provided in toilet should remain same else you would be charged after verification. Pro Ample parking EV charging Lots of space to walk Clean rooms Spacious and looks very rich Cons No ventilation suction in washrooms Room service not available round the clock Cannot reach this hotel over phone since call center closed after 6pm or address mentioned by google maps doesn’t take you to destination No coffee shop or eatery round the clock considering the location Only one breakfast place which is very expensive bagel and cream cheese cost 7$ In short not a place for leisure stay

We stayed 3 nights, bought the 3 days unlimited water parks, so our kids had a blast. The room was very big and clean, except there were lots of flies everywhere in the hotel… There are not much choices for restaurants in the hotel or around the area… no good coffee either…

The property was clean, comfortable, and provides plenty of room for us. The only disappointment was that there is no pool you can use without paying to use the waterpark. Water in the lobby would also be nice.

Great place to stay !

We had a great experience the only comment that I have is that the staff was soooo young ! Most of them were very professional and my only worry is that they can easily be taken advantage of by the more unpleasant guests they were all so young and timid. I understand the lack of working hands but I would have liked to have seen more adults supporting the younger staff.

I liked staying here as you could come and go to the waterparks easily. The rooms were big and it was a quiet hotel. I didn't like they didn't clean your room the whole time you are there (we stayed 4 nights). The TV was hit or miss to work. We seemed to always have to call and get them to reset the TV so it would work and when it did work it froze a lot. The WIFI was really slow as well.

The hotel was amazing related the water park for the indoor. I would say for the quality control before renting a room. To make sure the shower is fix. The handle broke and this is something could of been prevented from the cleaning person to report the shower handle was loose and going to brake. Hope next time the team can monitor more this stuff as this hotel is not cheap to stay . Your paying 300$ plus tax per day you would expect a higher quality of rooms . Outside of that hotel has lots to offer and it’s like being in a resort down south for the mini shops and restaurants. Also you have 24/7 arcade room for the kids to play .

We definitely had a nice surprise when we arrived here. The first impression was that it was too far away from everything, but really it has it all, and if you plan your visit to Old Quebec trip carefully, this is really a good option, specially during low season. We enjoyed the hotel facilities which not only include a great indoor waterpark (Outdoor waterpark looked amazing, but it was already closed for the season) but we also had a chance to play a lot with the kid at the Arcade room. This hotel was thought to be very practical, with amenities that really were thought to help the traveler. The staff was amazing and very polite all the time and to our surprised some of the front desk personnel even talked Spanish (which is my native language) additional to French and English. We did not tried the restaurants at the hotel, mainly because of the limited menu and also because we did not like what we saw at the reviews, so instead we chose to drive to "nearby" (about 15 min drive) restaurants. Overall we had a great time at Hotel Valcartier and we will most definitively return.

The hotel is worn down. Gastronomy is none existent and the little they offer is really and I mean really expensive. Bottle of water at 3.25$ for starters. Three restaurants that open randomly during the day and also close suddenly because short staffed, which is comprehensive but still, a 4 stars hotel with such fees and no food around the place after like 9pm. Housekeeping doesn’t do the basics of housekeeping for the time you’re checked in, only new towels upon request. But your garbage you must empty it at the large beam by the elevators yourself. No vacuuming, nothing. We mostly eat outside for the 4 days we spent, but being no close to much, it’s a 30 minutes ride anywhere or you can make yourself a delivery from the St-Hubert’s near by every time. The one time we had a snack at the marina bar close to the pools outside, we had a charge of 86$ for 6 pizza slices that were uncooked and some sort of tasteless chicken fingers. I normally eat like a WWII prisoner after being rescued but if I’m being charged premium fees for food, then I expect a bit of tasty food on my table. The staff was utmost friendly and provided the best service overall. A lot of young seasonal students work there and it gives the vibe that you’re there for a fun time indeed. Lastly but most concerning, they don’t seem to be bothered by the ridiculous amount of flies all over the place. That’s a huge let down, it makes the place look dirtier. Something must be done asap.
