We nooked 3 rooms with private onsen for our family trip. The room was beautiful and relaxing. The bed and pillows were a bit hard for my taste, but we were so relaxed after the bath that we slept well. The included dinner was amazing with delicious, beautifully presented plates. Booked this room for the private onsen and it was quite a lovely experience. We brought our luggage to them early in the morning and asked them to hold it until our check in so we could explore and after we checked in and made it to our room they sent someone to bring the luggage up. There was a breakfast buffet included with our room and it had a really nice variety of foods from western to Japanese. Staff spoke great English

The hotel was fine but did not feel we got value for our money. It was about a 25 min walk uphill to get to the hotel. We only had small backpacks and still found the walk challenging. We took a bus to hotel after a day of sightseeing but it was packed so getting any luggage on would be difficult. Definitely take a taxi if you have luggage. We took the complimentary shuttle back to the train station the next morning but you had to book early before the seats fill up. We paid for the included dinner and it was overrated for what we paid for it. Breakfast buffet was good but our hotel in the Yumoto area also included breakfast and that hotel was half the price and we enjoyed it more. I would probably pass on this hotel and dinner here if I had to do it again. We used both the public and private room onsen. Both were good and the public one was not busy when we went. I don’t think we would pay extra for the private room onsen the next time.

Serene and beautiful. The food was delicious…each presentation a work of art. To be able to go to the dining for breakfast and for dinner in the pajamas, that were provided fresh each day, was a treat and added to the R & R. The hot springs soaking tub on the balcony of our room was pure heaven.
