This was a great hotel for my family’s time In Monteverde! For the price I think it’s a great option. The staff was extremely helpful, providing many suggestions and helping us book tickets for different excursions. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast (included in the price) was good. Such a lovely spot tucked just outside of town. Simple but lovely accommodations. The staff went out of their way to meet every need. The room was comfortable but the bathroom needed hooks to hang towels. The best part was the feeling of being up in the trees being blown with the branches.

Great impression of Costa Rica

Monteverde villa lodge was the perfect place for our first time in Monteverde. They had everything we needed at a great price. Karen and Kristina booked our travel from airport and excursion's, and the breakfast was delicious (fresh juice, fruit, and eggs and Costa Rica traditional) I can’t say enough good things about this place. I would definitely stay here again.

The paintings on the wall of Costa Rica scenery were uplifting and the small garden and patio was a nice place to relax in. We enjoyed the plentiful breakfast and plate of fruits. Although not a far walk from the centre it had lovely feel of a jungle cabin mainly due to wooden interior. This made room quite dark but what you would expect in a jungle. Saw a Toucan a few feet away on the balcony. Breakfast very good. Stayed two nights.

This was a cute little place to stay. We stayed in room 7 which was tucked in the back and felt like our own little place. My kids liked that there was 3 beds so they didnt have to share. The property has a nice little sitting area that would be a nice area to have a meal so sit out after adventures. The place is in a area that easy to walk to the "town center". The staff was nice and the breakfast was yummy. We had a choice of pancakes and fruit or the typical gallo pinto and fruit.

They were very responsive via email. They booked transportation and guide to rainforest, in advance for the next morning. They also booked us for our onward journey to La Fortuna Many local restaurants nearby within walking distance to have lunch/dinner and shopping Good breakfast(included) to start your day! Very spacious room with furniture. Individual cabana was a nice feeling. Walking distance to Orchid Garden, a very unique experience.

So I want to write a review of this property because i really like it, everything was perfect and would highly recommend it for stays in the town. The staff are really helpful, its an easy walk to restaurants and stores, rooms are comfortable, breakfast was fine. However i want to take this space to really complain about Expedia. I have used their services for years but i was sooooo frustrated with them. I booked this hotel by mistake. When i tried to contact expedia immediately I could not get ahold of a real person to try to cancel the reservation. It was listed as an irreversible booking, but when i contacted the hotel immediately they said i could reverse it by contacting expedia. I wound up driving to the hotel and taking the room anyway but it made me furious at Expedia that they couldn’t tell me whether i could cancel it or not. All i wanted was an answer, all i got was a AI bot who just kept “ working on it” for 18 hours. Shame on expedia!!!! I’m hoping that i may get a response by writing this review.
