Bait and Switch in Bad Reichenhall

The advert on Hotels.com is misleading and should be changed . There is no Alpenstadt Hotel. There are 3 different hotels, and you are allocated to one when you arrive. Only one has a manned reception, and parking is a lottery. We had to go to a different hotel (Sonnebichel) for breakfast, and there was no step free access. Our particular hotel (Erika)was an old building with nicely appointed rooms though the door to the balcony was in need of attention. There was a lift, possibly the smallest I've ever seen, and would not be suitable for many wheelchair users. Main issue is lack of staff on reception (the Erika had none) to handle queries, nor is any information provided in the room. Disappointing and poor value for money.

Schönes Hotel, sauber, freundliche Leute. Wellnessbereich sehr schön. Dampfbad wird gerade neun gemacht. Das Gradierwerk funktioniert - einfach die Fernbedienung finden und bei Knopf „C“ auf „ON“ drücken. Auch die Infrarotsauna funktioniert - leider sind manche Taster im Bedienfeld falsch herum montiert und man schaltet die Anlage daher aus anstatt an. Hier ein wenig ausprobieren und ca. 20 Minuten warten bis alles aufgewärmt ist. Tolles Grühstückbuffet

Schöne Villa Erika, nettes Personal

Wir waren in der Villa Erika, einer behutsam renovierten Villa aus alten Zeiten, untergebracht. Das Personal war sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im schön eingerichteten und geführten Frühstücksbereich sehr freundlich. Die Terrasse des Frühstücksbereiches (im Hotel gegenüber) und einer kleinen Liegewiese bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Predigtstuhl. Einziges kleines Manko des Zimmers 314 in der Villa Erika ist der Blick auf das Kiesdach des Pavillons darunter, in dem eine schöne Lounge mit Selbstbedienung eingerichtet ist.

Wir würden gerne wiederkommen! Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, man kann bequem in die Innenstadt laufen! Das Frühstück hat eine super Auswahl, da findet jeder etwas! Auch der Wellnessbereich ist gut und sieht frisch renoviert aus. Das Zimmer an sich ist auch toll, mit dem Balkon in der Abendsonne! Die Zimmer an sich sind schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen (außer das Bad) aber es hat trotzdem alles gepasst! Sehr herausheben muss ich den kostenlosen Parkplatz, das war wirklich klasse! Ein paar kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge habe ich noch: Zu dem Bademantel wäre es super, wenn es für den Welnessbereich ein paar Schläppchendazu geben würde. Ich hatte daran nicht gedacht und musste dann in meinen Sportschuhen gehen.. Die Steckdose auf unserer Terasse wurde glaube ich noch nie gereinigt, das müsste mal passieren. Die Beschriftung beim Frühstück war recht spärlich und manchmal auch einfach falsch. Das kann man leicht korrigieren. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden!

Ich war schön öfter hier und fühle mich auch sehr wohl. Die Zimmer werden Stück für Stück renoviert, diesmal habe ich mich sehr über das neu gemachte Bad gefreut. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichhaltig, besonders gefällt mir die große Auswahl von guten Kaffeespezialitäten. Was mir jedoch bei meinem letzten Aufenthalt schon negativ aufgefallen ist: Der Wellnessbereich könnte etwas mehr Liebe vertragen! Bei den Wäden im Kraftraum bröckelt der Putz von der Wand und im Duschbereich ist der Boden immer leicht schmierig, was mir nicht so gut gefallen hat, da ich an diesem Tag der erste Gast war. Auch das kleine Gradierwerk, welches ich eigentlich sehr toll fand, macht einen vernachlässigten Eindruck.
