Mostly great!

I was very pleased with the apartment. It was quite clean, exactly as the pictures, and well-secured. The staff were nice, though you should ask for clean-up beforehands. Location wise, it is not bad. Only a few blocks from the free tram zone, which is right in front of Queen Victoria Market. However, those few blocks may seem like a long road ahead of you when you have heavy bags especially on a hot sunny day.

Didnt even make it into the door! The reception was unmandated and when i tried to call ahead, the line was "busy" or i was unable to call through.. When i arrived two dogs entered the building, this place said that they catered for pets/service animals, then when upon arrival was told i couldnt enter because of my support dog.

The apartment we stayed in was pretty tired. The couch was ripped, the blinds had permanent stains on them and the shower was mouldy. We needed last minute accommodation for one night unexpectedly so it did the job but we wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer.

The location of the property was nice. The issue was the lack of cleanliness. There were hand prints all over the glass sliding door, the dining table had dried dirty swirls, the tiles in the kitchen floor were sticky and grimey at the same time, the shower had mould in it. The property has potential but unfortunately cheaping out on the cleaning has significantly decreased the value.

We should have been told about the construction going on early mornings only meters from our accommodation. Right outside our bedroom windows. The place was okay but cleanliness wasn’t great. We had some person staying at the accomodation yelling out from 4am in the morning until 6am on our last nights stay. When that stopped the construction began. No sleep!! When asking for a late checkout because of previous nights ordeal, the front reception said 11am max!! No apologies. So no will not be staying again.

Not terrible, but nothing special for this kind of accommodation. My main issues were with the cleanliness of the place. There were smudges and marks around the towel racks, doors, cupboards, and light switches that gave the impression that the surfaces hadn't been wiped down. I wouldn't usually mind, but during a pandemic, it made me feel uncomfortable. I had plenty of knives, pots, pans and mugs in my room, but no bowls, and only one drinking glass and no chopping board. Someone across the hall from me said they found a broken wine glass in the cupboard after checking in. The area was suprising loud at night given how quiet it is in the day, but definitely more quiet than the city. It's relatively close to some nice cafes, tramlines and essential shops, but also less convenient than staying in the CBD, which is fine if you dont mind walking. Bed was quite comfy and the layout of the one bedroom balcony apartment was nice too.

While the room overall was okay in terms of size and features, there were some really disappointing aspects. As soon as we walked into the room there was a horrific smell that was like indescribably bad in the whole place. The ‘balcony’ door had been left slightly open which makes me think they knew about the smell and left it anyway. No efforts had been made to use disinfectant or room spray and it was so awful that we aired out the room for hours and had to go out and it still remained for the entire stay so possibly in the walls or vents. There was no way to get assistance as no 24 hour desk. When I went to check out / discuss it in the morning there was no one at the desk despite it being 10 minutes after they were supposedly staffed. I don’t like writing bad reviews so I would chalk this up to being random if it weren’t for the fact that the hygiene standards as a whole were lacking. The shower had plenty of mould built up, the carpets weren’t very clean, everything just felt a bit dirty. The room had decent features overall and wasn’t toooo bad for the price. The only other thing I would say is it is a serious stretch that the room is advertised as a ‘city view’. The only way I could see any city would be to stand on a balcony chair on a specific angle to look behind the building in front. The balcony is covered anyway and the building is behind another building so i’m not sure how you could possibly call it that.

Avoid. Staff are not responsible or caring. The listing was out of date with incorrect check-in times and descriptions of rooms. When I presented these facts to reception, the staff did not acknowledge my grievances and changed the subject; he had a defeatist attitude. I was assigned the incorrect room and only with persistence was moved. I was promised a partial refund yet have not heard back from them weeks later. The ground floor persistently stank from food coming in and out the days I was there. The single elevator broke down one time, and the general vibe and parking situation is unpleasant. Uncaring. Can stay if you have to, but not a preference.
