There was a great natural thermal pool but property in a noisy location and had a noisy pipe clanging all night. very dated and tatty. Needed renovation. Wall heater not working some power points not working. Paid Laundry had clutter all around. Didnt see staff unless i phoned them. Would not stay again.

We ended up staying somewhere else and losing our money. It felt unsafe. Windows were cracked, the door latch was dubious. The photos on the website must be the only room to have been refurnished. For an extra $60 stayed in a lovely refurbished room in the Millennium hotel Rotorua.

The lady and her daughter were lovely, she seemed overwhelmed by the busy time of year which is fair enough. All new appliances, looks to be getting upgraded. Cobwebs on ceiling. Taps were a bit run down. No lock into the bathroom. Decor is dated. Spa was too hot to use. Its a decent place, u get what u pay for. Unsure we would stay there again. Terrible reviews but it wasnt as bad as we thought. Its what we needed at the time and we were grateful.

Stay away!

Extremely disappointing experience. The photos on the website are completely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the motel. The property is old and severely run down, in desperate need of a complete renovation. The sheets were dirty, the mattress was so worn out it sank halfway down, and the shower had almost no water pressure. To make matters worse, the bathroom hair dryer didn’t work. We initially booked a two-night stay but couldn’t bear to stay the second night and checked out early. The staff were very friendly but that does not make up for the poor condition of the property. I strongly recommend avoiding this place!

The room size was good but the with old style of hotel. Heater in bedroom was not working. There was a small oil heater provided but that was nothing in a cold spring night. The reception promised to do the room service on 2nd day of our stay but they came and check the heater but did not did the room service.

The room was convenient to access and the car close to the unit. The bedrooms were clean and the bedding good. The rest of the unit was slightly grubby and very worn. The couch okay but the 2 armchairs sagged badly. The dining chairs worn and not cleaned very well. The shower base had long hairs on it and needed the soap build up cleaned off. The toilet and hand basin were old and needed to be replaced. Glad we only stayed one night.

Hotel room had issues with multiple broken fixtures, worn out furniture, shower head did not face down, so water was spraying at the wall, towels etc were old and worn, tv was placed in an awkward place, bed was situated against the wall heater, kitchen cupboards needed to be painted etc etc

Ok so, the staff were friendly and really nice but that's where the good points end. Starting off the stairs are very narrow, on the outside of the wall there was crude graffiti that had been poorly cleaned off, the moment we stepped into the room which was room 20 you could see mould all over the windowsills, the windows were disgusting the couch had all this crusty stuff on it and shredded pillows. Tacky sheets used as curtians blinds covered in muck. Plasters left in the showers and broken windows that won't shut. Busted and broken beds parts of it falling apart. The house keepers don't vaccum while you're there nor do they make the beds or do dishes. The "free wifi' is 300mgb then it's 3$ for more, there were 4 of us in one room 300mgb doesn't last. In the mineral pool area there was plasters left lying around unclean and what looked to be vomit on the wall and my favorite a bottle of pee in the corner of the seats.

Stayed with family members. Checked in late but no issues at all. Room had what we needed, kitchen, bathroom and good sized room. Good location, walking distance to lake front and hot pool spa which was great. Would stay again.
