Despite the reviews i found the Trevone hotel very nice. Felicity and Phil were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was a bit dated but room ok and beds comfy. Location very good for sea and pier and shops. Woukd definitely stay again.

We had the below ground floor Room 2 and was very pleasantly suprised how clean everything was with fresh towels and bedding and tea and coffee facilities. The room was small with its own shower bath and toilet, perfect for two people and the manager was around the hotel alot. We will definetly go again and hopefully book here. There is even a lift that is very easy to use for all floors so access isnt a problem for anyone. Recommended. Small tv with freeview in the room and kettle and two single beds very comfy.

Trevone a treat

Lovely place,, made to feel welcome when checking in the owners were really helpful and friendly,, paid in cash as that's all they are accepting at moment,, breakfasts are £8 pp extra,, and they are well worth it, the breakfast area is lovely and clean and the breakfast itself is really good,, they offer you cereal,, orange juice, full English and toast,, the owner was always on hand to see if everything was ok,, we got allocated room 11 a twin room which could do with an update but was clean,, we had a look at other rooms while we were there and they looked spot on,, when checking out the owners made sure we had a great stay and we will definitely stay there again

Check in was quick but unpleasant, greeted by someone who did want to be there. Bed was uncomfortable, it was noisy, & the shower was ridiculous, water barely warm & positioned too high up so it didn’t work properly.

Okay. Lots of rules. Nobody there to greet us. Key to the room was left in an envelope outside the front door with our name on it. Bathroom could have been bigger. Beds were not very comfortable. Need some drawers in the room as nowhere to put clothes apart from hanging. Lift was dodgy, had to go up one at a time. Sea view was great.
