10/10 Exceptional

Great value and very conveniently located. All you need for a one night stay.
Colin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Ok and would stay again

Came for 2 nights, stayed in room 5 and wash quiet considering it’s above a pub.
Carol, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Well positioned B&B.

Well positioned location right in centre of town, rooms are a bit dated and in need of renovation. Breakfast was good.
Mark, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room and bed very comfortable. Worth saying that they did send a message about being above a noisy pub, so fair enough on that point. Would be better to have the limited times of breakfast in the booking info.
Michael, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent very historical "Inn"
Robert, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent value for money with great value food and friendly staff. Very old building with steep internal access stairs so could be difficult for less mobile client. To be fair to hotel this and possibility of noise from music nights are clearly highlighted in confirmation email. Overall well worth a stay if you don’t mind an old building converted as well as it can be while retaining authentic features. A good place to base yourself for a few days.

We had a lovely stay in the old post office. The staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂. The room was nice and cosy. The food was amazing 👏. Wendy was lovely. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will come back to stay there again xx

Clasic older building. Convenient in town centre. Good value for price range. Rooms all clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Freshly cooked clasic english breakfast.

10/10 Exceptional

Bar staff friendly, plenty of choices. The room was clean but the only problem was the pillows, not at all comfortable, the bed was slightly hard but acceptable. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.
Christine, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Staff very friendly and hotel was good. The mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable
Joyce, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very big room and bathroom the only thing wrong was bed was too soft for us, but everything else no complaints from me very friendly polite staff, good breakfast, good location, clean and spacious nice atmosphere in the pub. Definitely will be returning, and you can come and go toll whatever time you want.
Vicky, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Bad beds but overall nice place.

Our stay was fine. Bed was very unconformable and the band played on until 1am which is unreasonable when you have guests staying upstairs. 11pm would have been fine but past that surely is unacceptable. Breakfast was lovely and staff were nice enough.
John, 2-night trip

I’ve stayed here a few times & I’ll be honest a first impression is mmmm….. but in reality the rooms, staff, location & breakfast are great & once tried you’ll come back again
Christian, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

We were advised by the hotel in advance that the pub was a busy town centre one, and noisy, but there was nowhere else available to stay. Live music blasting through the floor and walls until finally stopped at midnight. Bathroom taps loose, one not working and toilet seat fixed by one hinge. We'll put up with most things at our age, but at nearly £190 for 2 nights, a few criticisms need pointing out
PETER, 2-night trip

A hidden gem! With character. Excellent value for money. Very spacious room (Room 3). Friendly, no fuss staff. We joined in with the locals in the quiz on Wednesday evening - great fun. Had the 2 for £20 meal deal - good belly pork. Nice real ale - Wainwrights. Good breakfast. Central location, 10 minutes walk from railway station.
David, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very good value stay £70 room including 2 breakfasts'! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only slight downside is the noise if there is live music in the pub, but this wrapped up around midnight for us and closing the window made it barely audible to no big issue.

The Inn Crowd

Outstanding hospitality from all the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. The pub food is exceptional and good value for money. It’s a lively place (regularly features bands) with a great atmosphere. Go there and enjoy it!

It was well located and I liked its quirky charm. I’d have preferred breakfast a little earlier
