Narrow beds and terrible pillows. The poorest fibre pillows.

8/10 Very good

Cute hotel property with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Bit pricey for what you get. Continental breakfast adequate but nothing special.

Hojo and Marka

Great 3 days! Only thing that could possibly have been better was the morning coffee. Great location and managers on site were very attentive. Happy hour was great as was the bottle of wine in the beginning to relieve the stress of our flight etc from Australia. Highly recommend, and already thinking about coming back and spending a week there. Queenstown was great!
Howard, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The location is excellent, very close to town center. The staff was helpful and kind. The rooms were lovely and there was a happy hour every day. Definitely recommend!
Julie, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The hotel was wonderful. Located very close to the bus stop, cafes, restaurants and shops. It was very clean and spacious. The complimentary snacks and soft drinks as well as complimentary happy hour was a lovely addition. We arrived a little late and self-check in instructions were very easy. A complimentary bottle of wine in the room as we had missed happy hour was an unexpected surprise. Just wonderful.
Kathryn, 2-night trip

Really nice
Susan, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It really appreciated that there were no additional charges for things like the mini-bar, snacks, happy hour, continental breakfast. The room was very well appointed, good water pressure in shower. We even had a choice of the type of wine which was included as the VIP bonus (and it was very good wine too). Staff at reception were very friendly, efficient at checking us in and showing us around the hotels amenities. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the waterfront, park and shopping/dining.
Peter, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Interesting Decor, spacious rooms, close to town center. Had a happy hour 5-6 for all guests. Good lounge area for a group of us to hang out in when our flight out was cancelled.
Stuart, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I love the boutique ness and the customer service was outstanding. Love the feel and the vibe
Janine, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Really poor customer service, my friend went into hospital unable to make the trip. No refund was requested from us just a remedy so we could use at a later date even at partial value. No solution possible. Super disappointing
Van, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

An absolute 10/10 ! This hotel offers great comfort and value for money, the daily happy hour and breakfast are great perks !! The property is located within easy walking distance of many fantastic Queenstown lakefront restaurants and bars. Local destinations and attractions such as Arrowtown and many fabulous Otago wineries are also within easy driving distance. My family and I would highly recommend the Central Private Hotel to anyone visiting the Queenstown area !
Alexander, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Centrally located and super-close to town, The Central Private Hotel is a fantastic option for a short stay in Q-town. The staff were absolutely great and the little touches that the place offers - like complimentary Happy Hour and the first-in-best-dressed private sauna make this place a winner. Only gripes would be that the rooms are a little dark and want for more (or any) storage or drawers. Other than that, it's a tough beat in a very competitive market!
Scott Randall, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The location is great. It’s a 3 min walk to all the food, transportation, and shopping. The only drawback is the walk up hill heading back to the hotel. I loved the uphill walk to strengthen my glutes. My room was large and the interior design was so cool. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I will definitely stay again. Try The Central Private by Naumi Hotel out you will have a great experience.
Ashley, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

First time staying at this hotel. Room is spacious, love the retro decor and service was excellent. The lodge manager was friendly and provided a detail introduction for our stay. Lounge is nice and all guests are very respectful of each other. This is probably the only 5 star hotel that made me feel welcomed and trusting unlike some hotels would charge for pretty much everything more like a transaction rather than a genuinely great hospitality. Thank you!
Poh Leen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We loved overall staying at the property. However, the first impression of the manager(front desk) was not what you would expect. He was very dry, not personable, not welcoming, barely smiling, and overall attitude was as almost he didn’t want to be bothered. Alex and cleaning staff were very friendly, caring, helpful, and welcoming. The manage didn’t even ask how was our stay as we were leaving this morning.
Hyesun, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Loved our stay. Very convenient location and lovely staff.
Mahan, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Naumi and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that continued throughout my entire stay. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Whether it was the front desk team, housekeeping, or the restaurant staff, everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it truly felt like a home away from home. What really made the difference, though, was the people. The service felt personal and sincere, which is something you don’t always find, even in top-tier hotels.
Andrew, 5-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Fantastic stay here, only wish we had booked for longer! Staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The inclusive happy hour in the common lounge was a nice touch and a great way to mingle.
Corie, 1-night trip

Clean and comfortable, 5 minutes walk through the park to the beach
