A LOVELY FAMILY RUN Establisment. Wonderful breakfasts, not far to anywhere in the High Peak, close to Castleton and the caves. Jan and Neil are great hosts.

A pleasant stay. After an initial hiccup with our accommodation it was sorted very quickly by Neil for which we were grateful. Would return but would probably return to one of the rooms in the house or the annexe as the Cottage was a little bijou! Very good breakfasts cooked by Jan. Thank you!

Fantastic!

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Rushop. The proprietors are a very friendly, helpful and accomodating pair. The room was clean, airy and spacious. The bed was comfy, and there's a communal lounge, which we didn't use but looks nice. Really tasty breakfast served very efficiently. To be honest the only minor grumble in an otherwise excellant hotel experience was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit lame. I would definately recommend this beautiful place.

Beauty in a Valley

A delightful place - tucked away in the valley off the main road. Very easy to reach the busy bustling Buxton with its usual traffic delays! A series of individual buildings but the standard of renovation very high and everywhere spotless clean. My double room for single use under the roof so space to stand up a little restricted. No lift but a flight of stairs - no problems for a normally fit person!! Window at floor level in the room. Nothing unusual from my experience. Bed comfortable & shower very efficient. Room tidied daily. Very quiet and an early morning stoll around the property to see the alpaca & horses - very pleasant. Breakfast menu wide with local produce. Fresh fruit, sliced with yoghurt & plum compote delicious. Main breakfast usual fare but no hash browns or baked beans - hooray. All well presented, good portions d not dripping in fat & oil. It was just the meal to get you underway for the day! I found the proprietor & staff most helpful & obliging. All in all a delightful stay; only wish it could have been longer.

A beautiful old house with a spotless room and shower. I also had use of a lovely lounge. The views were fabulous and the hosts went out of their way to make my stay memorable. I highly recommend escaping to Rushop Hall after a day of walking, exploring caves or visiting the amazing sights and towns nearby.

Somewhat isolated, for better and worse. Beautiful, quiet area but no food options if you arrive late in the evening. Nice hosts and lovely breakfast.

A diamond in the Dales

It is a lovely B&B. A little remote but beautiful views all around. Stayed two nights in the Boots room. Nice big room with large double bed, little sofa, couple of chairs and a gorgeous deep window sill, perfect for the morning cuppa and views across the fields. Bathroom was a good size as was the shower. Nothing worse than a tiny shower cubicle and this was a nice big space. They are horses and alpacas at the property. The roads to and from are a single track and rather rural. Take is easy and hope you don't meet anything other than a dog walker coming the other way. Breakfast was delicious. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a menu of cooked options. Plentiful tea, coffee and toast. Highly recommend a stay here, I definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay. We were made to feel welcome and our room was lovely. The only issue we had was the noise from neighbouring rooms walking about upstairs and locking/unlocking their door, downside of an older house.

A lovely quiet stay, tasty local food at breakfast and a very friendly welcome (by the hosts and the farm cats!). Don’t miss visiting the Blue John mines and caverns just 5 minutes up the road.

Beautiful place, highly recommend! 😍

We stayed for one night for a gig at Peak Cavern. It was a fab location, very peaceful and picturesque! The hosts were lovely and very welcoming! Had a great sleep in a very comfortable bed and then had a delicious breakfast in the morning! Jan's homemade marmalade was to die for, they should consider selling it, we'd definitely have bought a few jars! All in all a great stay and would definitely go back if we visit the area again! 😍
