The room was very nice, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was truly excellent. We recommend the fish and chips, and the pies... The only niggles were quite minor: the TV didn't work while we were there, and the en-suite door stuck quite badly. These didn't detract from the stay!

No Sunday lie-in

The only thing that gave us any issues with our stay was the breakfast element. Breakfast was served between 8:30 and 9:00 which is early for a Sunday morning. We were also looking forward to a nice traditional cooked breakfast but the food was continental style with cold meat and cheese. The quality of the food presented was however excellent.

Excellent all round

The apartment was a modern, comfortable and spacious accommodation. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our three night stay and we were also really delighted with the choice and quality of the food in both the evening and at breakfast. We "sampled" the Moonshine beer and would definitely recommend it. We had one small problem when one evening meal order wasn't served for quite some time (a problem with passing the order to the kitchen). The manager solved the problem to our satisfaction so that it didn't spoil our night. Breakfast was a magnificent feast of a Full Derbyshire cooked breakfast, with other various combinations and choices too. Clare was on breakfast duty during our stay an was an excellent host. Very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. We would love to stay again and look forward to booking our next trip to the Peak District.

Lovely cosy and welcoming pub in the Peak District in the pretty village of Foolow. Really large room with a big bathroom too. Very friendly staff and a great Sunday dinner and breakfast the next morning. Lots of great walks nearby to Eyam ,Sir William Hill and Bretton. We really enjoyed our great value stay and would love to return.
