We were upgraded to a suite from an executive double room on arrival and I honestly can't see what the difference was, except maybe that we had a corner bath in our sleeping area but it had no screen around it.
I found the hotel disappointing in many ways.
On arrival, no lift. One of us suffers with a hip problem so this was an immediate difficulty.
There was a fan in the room to keep us cool, and it was very hot in the room, but the windows couldn't be opened as they were painted shut! I'm sure this is actually illegal.
We wanted to order room service on the second night and using the laminated menu in the room, planned to do so. There were no instructions on the card however, and no phone in the room. So we called the front desk from our mobiles, FOUR times. Nobody answered. In the end one of us went downstairs to order the food, a nice man around the desk asked if we needed help and we explained we wanted food. He said you should have called, we said we did and nobody answered. A girl appeared from the back, eating, and said, I was on my break. So nobody mans the desk on a break early in the evening! Was then sent down to the restaurant ourselves to order, to be told that we can't order off that menu until the restaurant is closed! Again, no info on the menu in the room to say this. So we needed to order off the restaurant menu.
Soap was taken from the room that was opened the day before and not replaced, so no soap to wash hands.
These were the memories of my trip.
