Upon arrival Wainscott Woods Retreat stated we had no reservation in their system even though I had a confirmation number and a corresponding charge on my Visa from Expedia. The hotel stated this was an Expedia problem. I contacted Expedia and they confirmed the reservation information was intact. We went back and forth for an hour. The hotel finally said another guest was checking out and they would have a room ready in one to two hours. We paid for a stand alone cottage through Expedia and ended up with a two bed regular room. Once inside the room we noticed there was trash still in the wastebasket and body hair on the sheets and floor in the bathroom. We should be entitled to at least a refund for failure on Expedia and Wainscott Woods Retreat for failure to follow the terms we agreed to.
