A place to get your head down for the night.

Upon arrival was greeted by the smell of weed, and what can only be described as damp washing. Check in was quite slow, People infront of us being told to leave a £50 deposit, even though I wasn't asked to,.The lifts dont work so if your on a high floor you might struggle, TV had 1 channel, Place looks lovely from the outside but dated. Our room was clean and tidy, but there was a smell of mould. Its Blackpool, if you're after a place to get your head down after a night out its fine .

The place you would want to stay in blackpool :)

We came to the hotel not really expecting much for the price but when we got there we were greeted with friendly service truly outstanding place and room for the price you really cant fault it, unfortunately we were only able to stay for 1 of the 2 nights we booked due to us just not feeling very well and we just wanted to go home but we really did enjoy our visit and if we could have stayed for that extra night we definitely wouldnt have regretted staying at the royal alaxander, brilliant place

System was down during check in,so the staff made us to wait half an hour to check-in instead of looking into alternative options.after getting the room the shower room wasn’t draining out,so had to swap room at midnight.

A Wonderful Stay at the Royal Alexandra Hotel, Blackpool From the moment I arrived at the Royal Alexandra Hotel, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine professionalism. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff couldn't have been more attentive or welcoming. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed — with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. Despite being in the heart of Blackpool, the atmosphere was peaceful, allowing for a great night’s sleep. What really sets this hotel apart is its outstanding service. Every staff member I encountered went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. Whether it was advice on local attractions or dietary requests at mealtimes, nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfasts were hearty and satisfying, served in a bright and cheerful dining area. It made for the perfect start to each day before exploring nearby landmarks like the Winter Gardens, the Tower, and the beachfront — all just a short walk away. The Royal Alexandra Hotel is a gem — a well-run, friendly hotel that delivers excellent value and a genuinely enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to return, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Blackpool.

Won't be returning

Booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children (double with bunk beds). Room was damp smelling, and all our clothes were left damp to the touch. 1 small fan provided but inadequate.Door was very difficult to close and required full body weight and a bang to close it properly. Holes all remained from previous locks. There was a note up in reception to say TV ariels were being upgraded so the room TVs might not work. This was not communicated before our arrival. The toilet cystern was running constantly and the condensation from the toilet was flooding onto the floor. Extractor fan in bathroom did not work. Both were reported to reception during our stay. Fan still did not work and toilet was noisier than before. Breakfast was very disappointing. Continental breakfast with no meats as they hadn't been delivered, a small plate of very sweaty sliced cheese, a toaster and a couple of cereals. Pastries were tiny and fruits was dry oranges and a couple of apples. Coffee was the same instand sticks as in the room, no proper coffee. Certainly not worth what we paid for it. We spent less at a cafe round the corner for a full cooked breakfast for the 4 of us. Last but not least, at midnight on our last night the fire alarm went off. no staff around. A pipe had burst on one of the upper floors and water was pouring down through a light fitting. Fire alarm went off again 20 mins later, lots of people running up and down the hallway banging doors. Needless to say, no sleep that night
Bathroom door
Holes from previous locks. You could see right through to the hallway.
Door looked like it had been kicked in at some point.
Holes left in the floor

Disappointed

We booked this hotel for 2 nights Fri- sun we had stayed here a few years ago and found it pleasant at the time, this time however within a few hours I was looking online for another hotel, we checked in at the appointed time of 3pm and found the room absolutely freezing the heating wasn’t on so I went and asked reception about the heating to be told they don’t heat the back part of the house in the week and gave us a fan heater they said it comes on around 6.30 it’s almost the end of October and it’s cold there was a lot of mould in the shower basin and no where really to store our toiletries there were 2 small shelves beside the beds but it couldn’t hold everything so we had to use our suitcase as a shelf again with the bathroom no where for toiletries so they stayed in our toiletries bag on the floor maybe I’m being picky but I didn’t fancy leaving them on the toilet basin the toilet and seat were very loose and shifted when sitting down the blinds didn’t come all the way so there was a gap at the side which let in too much light and mostly the shower was scalding hot it went from 38-30 but still we spent a good 15 minutes trying to regulate it to cooler but it didn’t happen there was only a sign warning us of the sink hot water it couldn’t be used, the heating still not on at 8pm still cold room I went back to ask to be told that she would leave a note she also said people always complain they’re cold but they still leave doors open as front door open
