Great location if you’re heading out for a cruise and need train! Perfect as it’s steps away from the main station with all the train options!! Staff was lovely and breakfast was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to haupbahnhof

We had booked two rooms and asked for interconnecting doors. But even with two messages the hotel did not answer. Upon arrival we got the room, no problem - except they were not connected with doors between the two rooms. We also found out that the quality of beds were really different. In one room the beds were.really good, where in the other the beds were poor quality. But the overall was ok. We had a good sleep, and the breakfast was also fine. And really SUPER thar it is situated just next to the Hamburg Haupbahnhof.

The hotel was clean and comfortable but the elevator was kaput, so five + flights of stairs to contend with…elevator could barely hold 2 people. We have stayed here on and off for about 20years. Ideal location, excellent value, friendly staff, good breakfast. Rooms are small but adequate. You are only sleeping there. Spotlessly clean bathroom towels and bed linen. Need refurbishing but thats my only negative.

Small room, good breakfast

Cons: Small single bed room, just about fit a carry-on case and a backpack. Mattress not fully secured in bed. Bathroom also small, but thankfully clean (which seems to vary from room to room). I stayed on the top floor, more than 140 steps in the stairs unless you rode one of the two elevators (the other broken). Pros: More than adequate breakfast compared to other reviews. Unless you absolutely crave bacon, scrambled eggs or orange juice in the morning, you'll find different bread, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yoghurts, eggs, fruit salad, coffee, tea, apple juice, lemon water etc. Very close to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, only across the street. Could benefit from a renovation, but it would also hike up the prices quite a bit so it is a matter if you look for rather low price and vintage standard, or a very fresh hotel at perhaps 50-70% higher price.

Min enda invändning var att golvet var ojämnt i lobbyn. Det var ju meningen, men jag har lite dålig balans o blir påverkad av sådant. Bra säng o fungerande fläktar, viktigt i hettan. Flera restauranger i närområdet. Vi besökte en marockansk restaurang med väldigt god mat.

Bereits bei der Ankunft wurden wir erst mal angeschnauzt mit "ich muss mich hier konzentrieren!". Das Zimmer welches wir dann um 15:10 Uhr erhielten, hätte man mit unserer Auswahl gar nicht als mögliche Buchungskategorie angeben dürfen ( ein mini-mini Zimmer für 1 Erw& 2 Kinder), wir hätten auch mehr bezahlt für realistischen Platz, leider war ausgebucht. Dann hatten wir plötzlich einen Handwerker im Zimmer, er hat zwar angeklopft aber keinen Atemzug gewartet - und mich dann angeschnauzt ich müsse halz antworten.

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen und benötigt eine Renovierung. Zimmer sehr dunkel und alt eingerichtet, aber sauber. Es wurde täglich gereinigt, Betten gemacht, täglich frische Handtücher. Reinigungspersonal 5 Sterne. Frühstück sehr einfach gehalten, kein großes Angebot aber ausreichend. Es wurde immer frisch aufgefüllt und gleich weggeräumt. Lage direkt am Hauptbahnhof, da muss man wissen, was einen erwartet (wie an jedem Hauptbahnhof) Aber perfekte Anbindungen zu S und U Bahnen. Im Großen und Ganzen war es für ein paar Übernachtungen ganz ok.
