10/10 Exceptional

It’s a lovely, kitschy place. It was the first stop over on my cross country road trip and it could not have been a more appropriate slice of Americana. The folks who run it are very kind and helpful and I felt safe there. It’s not modern, but that’s its charm.

Excellent Staff

The staff was was excellent and friendly. We had an issue with the heater in one of the rooms and the staff was very quick to fix the problem. They move us to another room with a working heater.

10/10 Exceptional

Gave it a 2nd chance. So very happy I did.

It was very clean, outdated furniture but very very clean. The beds were comfortable. It didn't have a ice machine and could of used a little more water pressure in the shower.

6/10 Good

It was fine in a pinch

Don’t let the age fool you

This hotel is a little gem from a day by gone. A couple owns it and they come be every day to check on it. The room is dated but it is immaculate and very clean. If you are just looking for a place to crash for the night, it’s worth a nights stay.

Comfortable Stay

We just stayed one night as we were passing through. Checkin was fast and easy. Our room was great. Would stay again if I was in the area.

2/10 Poor

Neighbors screaming for several hours in the early morning hours, leaving/returning in trucks with no muffler.

Consistently Pleasing Accommodations

This was about the fourth time I've stayed at the Dav-Ed. As usual my room was immaculate. This is a classic one-level motel probably from the 1950s but is thoroughly up-to-date. Wifi is good, everything works, everything is clean and in excellent condition (fridge, microwave, TV.) Due to recent back surgery I booked the handicap accessible room (Room 1) which had a totally renovated bathroom, wide bathroom doorway, ramp to front door. The only problem with the room was its proximity to the road and resulting noise. I had never noticed noise during my previous stays in rooms further back. Regardless, this is a very nice independent classic motel and I look forward to my next stay.

Great motel to stay in

Pet friendly, great service, easy access to highway, clean room, great price. Not a chain motel. We love motels just like this.

Very clean & friendly. Mom & Pop type place
Alice, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Carpet smelled like pee and cigarettes. Gross.

They put us in a smoking room. The room smelled like dog pee, cigars, cigarettes. They said we could not change it. Someone should call the health department on these folks. The carpet was ancient and had cigarette ashes and burns all over it. My feet were so black! Clean your floors. Change that carpet. Room number 3.
Philip, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Everything is very old with questionable cleanliness and a stale smell. We needed a place to sleep during a cross country drive so we were literally in and out in 6 hours. That was more than enough

2/10 Poor

Probably wouldn’t stay here again

No heat in room and I’ve never been asked to pay over the phone when I clearly picked “Pay Upon Arrival” Swimming pool looks to have been under construction sense the 90’s
John, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Don’t stay here

No ice, no coffee, dirty carpet, pet odor
Paul, 1-night trip

Overall, it was a great experience. I like the older fashion design, and I like how clean and well-maintained everything is.
Joshua, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Very dated, room reeked of cigarette smoke, AC didn’t work it was missing buttons, pictures online did not match the room we booked online. We walked in and walked right back out and got a different motel.
Emilly, 1-night trip

Nostalgic for the '50's.
