Warning: Disappointing and misleading
We’ve used Hotels.com for years and have always had good experiences — until now. This particular booking was deeply disappointing. The apartment was nothing like the listing described, and certainly not worthy of the 5-star rating shown on the site. It was damp, smelled musty, and there were visible signs of moisture damage — possibly even mold.
We tried to contact both the property and Hotels.com during the stay. The property never responded, and despite our detailed complaint, Hotels.com declined to provide any meaningful compensation. We expected better, especially considering the clear mismatch between the advertised and actual conditions.
A further issue: cleaning was not included, which was not clearly stated in the listing. They charge very significant fees for final cleaning for a small apartment — which wasn’t clean when we arrived.
The overall impression was of a place that is misrepresented and poorly managed, and where Management does not take responsibility for the guest experience.
Avoid this listing at all costs.
