Enjoyed my stay no complaints
Stephen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Really amazing stay for the price! Peter is kind, welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. The locals are fun. Cook your own breakfast is incredible. My dog, Donnie, has really settled in and felt it was like home. Can’t fault it at all!!! Plus an amazing bonfire night set up by all the lovely staff working here! Keep it up! 10/10…I’ll definitely be using it as a regular when visiting Manchester

6/10 Good

Peter was very welcoming and good to get travel updates before arrival. Room clean and nice to have a simple breakfast buffet with option to cook too. Room was cold and had to put a coat on as the heating didn't kick in until around 9-30 / 10pm....info in private room said that all windows ie toilet and corridor were to be left open for ventilation. seemed a bit odd but open roof space in corridor added to the chill ! Heard Karaoke going on which I was kindly warned about but not an issue. Decent value but need to address the late thermostat time badly!

Fantastic weekend, couldn’t have asked for more. Staff were fantastic and the owner/landlord Peter was so welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. One the best weekends we have had away this year. Would definitely go again.

Great value find

This hotel was ideal for getting into Manchester, great price, nice clean room with tv and tea and coffee facilities. Best bit was the friendliness and helpfulness of Peter. Many thanks
Tim, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Property was old dorty, smelly and everything was extremely tired. You actually have to cook your own breakfast in the morning.
Stephen, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We needed an overnight stay. The Oddfellows is in poor shape. Room was adequate and reflected what we paid. Bathrooms at either end of corridor, toilet roll taken by other guests as soon as replaced by owner. Bed was comfortable and overall our stay was good. We wish the owner luck with his future plans.
Anne, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This is a great place to stay. We used this hotel as our base as we backpacked across Europe. My wife especially enjoyed making our own breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen. Peter was a great host with lots of tips that made our travels even more enjoyable. The Swinton Train Station is a short walk from the hotel. Everything was great!
Robert, 24-night trip

8/10 Very good

Decent for a short stay

Stayed two nights and really have no complaints. Peter was an excellent host. Very happy to help and offered advice on local food and drink places. Comfortable room. Would book again if in the area
William, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The accommodation was basic However the service provided by Peter was outstanding. and the breakfast was excellent. there was a huge choice including Oat milk and you could eat as much or as little as you liked. Peter was a perfect host and a mine of information. He was most helpful. I would definitely recomment the Oddfellows Arms and would stay there again.

10/10 Exceptional

Peter was an amazing host, even upgraded my room because I missed the first night and had vacancies in a room with a double bed. Amazing breakfast too! Had a lovely convo with Peter as well. Thank you!
Margaret, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Absolutely fantastic stay. The breakfast alone deserves a mention. Usually you go to a place that has all inclusive breakfast, and it’s a loaf of bread, bit of milk , an apple and cornflakes…. Not here! The sheer amount of choice was incredible, catering for everyone from vegans and vegetarians to those who are gluten-free. There was even a mix of wholemeal , gluten free and white bread, fruits, all types of alternative milk, pastries , pancakes, yoghurts, cheese, 5 or 6 cereals(and gf!)and the option to cook yourself a full veggie/ vegan/ meat English exactly how you like it. The bed was really comfortable, the place spotless, and I felt completely secure throughout my stay. The people I shared with were lovely, and Peter, the owner, was the perfect host — couldn’t do enough to help. We chatted for hours, and he was a hive of local knowledge, full of great tips on places to visit, eat, and how to get around. This place is also dog friendly at NO additional charge. How many places can you say that for in Manchester?! I’ll definitely be going back and can’t wait for the next excuse to come to Manchester.
LAURA, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Peter was a very good host and is very helpful. He upgraded my room for one night because of a cancellation and I appreciate it. Although the cleanliness and hygiene was not up to my expectation. The plates and bowls at the breakfast were not clean and the bedding seemed to not have been changed in the dorm room for sometime. Overall for the price I paid it was a good stay.
Saurav Sudhir, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Peter was a wondeful host, even getting me a fresh towel late at night when I was coming home late from a festival. The room was a shared dormitory with bedding done daily and the toilet facilities were kept clean. The rooms are above a small pub which gets a little lively on the weekend but you get a 10% discount on the already cheap drinks. Would stay again happily.
Joshua, 3-night trip

Peter provides you very good service he is very helpful i really recommend it and definitely would stay here next time.

Great value for money

Great value for money. However, there was a noticeable smoke smell as soon as we walked in, which was to be expected given that it’s a pub hotel. Sadly we couldn’t stay for breakfast but that would be one for next time.
