4/10 Poor

Stayed in Room 6. Pros: the door locks, tv works, a/c works, water runs, towels are provided, sheets have been washed, grocery store across the street, restaurants nearby Areas for Improvement: there is a large hole in the wall that allows light (and probably other things) from outside in, killed 2 pincher bugs, only 1 lightbulb used in a covered multi socket light fixture makes it not very efficient, the backrest of the only chair is not connected to chair (screws have detached and are exposed), microwave is missing the glass plate that turns, fridge is missing all plastic dividers, rods, and freezer door flap, black mold on bathroom window frames, shower door does not close, nowhere to put shower toiletries except the ground…there were other rooms available yet I was assigned this one…

4/10 Poor

This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've had. Even after being given a free room upgrade, the condition of the room was terrible. The property is clearly outdated and not well maintained—there was visible rust, the shower was tiny, and the towels were extremely old and worn. There were almost no toiletries provided—just a couple of small bars of soap. No shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or shower gel, which was very surprising and inconvenient. There was also no coffee maker in the room. Worst of all, the bed was uncomfortable and infested with bed bugs, making it impossible to get any rest. The only positives were the friendly staff and the free upgrade, but unfortunately, that couldn’t make up for the overall poor condition of the hotel. I strongly recommend avoiding this place until major renovations and cleanliness improvements are made.
Man Wah, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

This motel is run by a Hindu boss. Everything is a make shift. When we stepped in the room we found the air conditioner was not working. We talked to the boss, he said he would give us a better room. He first took us to room #9, saying that it’s a larger room( not larger but it’s a 2 bed room. Then, suddenly he changed his mind and took us to room # 8.(why? later I thought he has some reason he would not tell ). In room #8 we found the door could not be locked . The basin faucet water flow is a tiny trickle! I went to the office again. The boss told me the new Californian law has it that the water flow must be small to save water in hotels and houses. I don’t believe that, because in previous night we stayed at hotels and private homes the water flow is normal. As for locking if the door, the boss showed me a special way: the push must not be too strong, must not be too weak. Any way, you cannot expect anything to be standard in the motel. Just sacrificing the customers’s comfort to save money. That’s it! Beware travelers , don’t stay at the motel!

Staff was very friendly and provided much information on local places to dine and engage in. Room and bathroom were very clean. King bed was very comfortable. I will rent a room at Lone Pine Motel again.

Owned and managed by very nice people!

The owner is a lovely person and does what he can for his guests in a hotel that has clearly had a strange room layout since before he became the owner.
