The hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, but in reality it would be closer to a 3-star by European standards. The building is very old and in clear need of renovation and proper maintenance. Nothing about the common areas feels like a true 5-star experience.
There are also several basic amenities missing. In the room, there isn’t even an iron, and in the bathroom there is no conditioner provided. On top of that, there is no air-conditioning in any of the main areas of the hotel — not in the lobby, not in the restaurant, not in the common spaces — which makes the experience uncomfortable, especially in Bali’s heat.
Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It was honestly the worst breakfast we’ve had in all the hotels we visited in Bali: very limited variety, poor quality, and far below what a supposedly 5-star hotel should offer.
The staff are polite, but the hotel needs a full renovation and major improvements in its services and amenities to truly justify a 5-star rating.
