Overall the hotel is lovely but a bit tired in places . Staff were great and food was lovely but my biggest bug bear was the carpet in our bedroom hadn't been hoovered there were other peoples toe nails on it so didnt make me feel comfortable taking my socks off.

It is a huge building, could perhaps do with a bit of renovating in some areas, however that said I can appreciate it would be a massive undertaking, and it did not detract from our stay. Was very dog friendly, with a woodland walk which was a real plus for our dog first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening, as in some dog friendly hotels they just have a little bit of lawn for the dogs.

The property is a lovely place that has kept its unique original features. The Victorian facades and interior are refreshingly maintained. The staff are all very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Well located in a rural spot but 5 minutes walk into town, via the sea front promenade.

I had a really lovely stay. The hotel is peaceful, welcoming, really spacious and has very friendly and hospitable staff. Some of the furnishings are visibly old, but I don't mind that at all - personally, I find that much more environmentally-friendly.
