We have stayed at The Vine on numerous occasions now and we love it. The rooftop pool area is lovely and the food is really good. All the staff are friendly and really helpful and smiley. We had a junior suite this time which was spacious and the bed was super comfortable with beautiful linen. Great breakfast choice as well. One suggestion would be to get rid of the pebble flooring in the bathroom area, it is really uncomfortable to walk on.

Super hotel!!

This hotel is excellent!! Brilliant location, super helpful and lovely staff. Breakfast was great. Pool/spa and treatments - all amazing!! Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent. I can not recommend this place enough and I will definitely stay here again.

As mentioned tovthe staff, ooms seem to be missing a light or two; they seem dark. I was told that was done by the designer. Seems odd especially with purplish colors on the wall. Also, the doors to the room close very slowly. Sunce my flight was later in the day, I did like that i could use the amenities and parking after my check out. Finally, i forgot to take a picture / mention to the staff, but there is some wall covering missing on the upper part of the wall in the bathroom. You can see the electrical when laying in the bed.

Hotel probably furnished by an artist, with little practical knowledge. Beautiful rooms, but much wasted space (huge bath) and manual needed to control lighting! Staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. Fabulous breakfast. Hotel decor is stunning -probably won some awards.

Overall a very nice property. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Property located walking distance to all of the nice restaurants and harbor. Breakfast was amazing. Property has coolers located on the floor that dispense both, sparkling and still water, at no charge. Hotel has on site parking even though getting from the parking garage to the main lobby is not the most convenient of paths. Rooms are clean and modern.

The hotel is above a shopping centre without any grounds around the hotel, however, it is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the old town. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The bedroom was sleek and modern with an ‘open plan’ shower/wash area. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different pillows varying from soft to firm. There are no views other than from the rooftop swimming pool and bar area but this didn’t significantly detract from the stay as we were out most of the time. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good quality ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We were also amused by the mobile robot which took the dirty dishes back to the kitchen. Overall the hotel lives up to it’s 5 star billing, is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay at the Vine the next time you are in Funchal.

Great location, walking distance to everything. Very good breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice but we had issues with our bathtub. Our room could have used a little love considering it's a 5 star hotel. Jacuzzi and sauna room could use some love as well. The overall look of the interior is dark. Considering the low ceilings, it does not help. The entrance of the hotel is through the mall and the parking is good to have but prepare to go through a maze to get to the front desk. Just follow the signs and you should be ok. Rooftop bar, pool and patio are very nice. Very good views.
