At breakfast my dad took in sick and had to go back to the room. I asked the supervisor for a take away box to put some stuff for him because we were already paying extra for his breakfast. She said that food from buffet cannot be taken to room , she then offered some fruit and a pastry. I obliged, however a few minutes after , another gentleman had two bowls and a plate of food , I heard him telling them that he’s taking it back to his room and he was facilitated. Does Brix offer special rules for certain guests? Am I not in a certain income bracket to reap the rewards at your hotel?! Although the supervisor was kind and helpful , I was treated unfairly in comparison to this other customer. Do better!!!

The Brix is a great place to stay if you are looking to spend a lot of time in the center of Trinidad. The pool is clean and receives direct sunlight however there is no pool service, so you will have to buy drinks in the lobby and bring it to the pool (it's not a problem but something to keep in mind, if you like to be served by the pool) Housekeeping is very diligent about cleaning and emptying trash everyday. The hotel staff are nice and greet you in every corridor. I hope to return to the Brix for Carnival 2026, since it is so close to where Carnival takes place. The hotel food is great and they have an awesome rooftop for nights, you want to go out but do not feel like figuring out transportation (you definitely need a car or shuttle service to get around Trinidad).

They overcharged me on more than one occasion. The menu on the TV had a different price than the room service or dining room has. They wanted to charged me 11.00 usd for half a bowl of cereal with the wrong milk when the menu on the TV had it for 6.00. I was disappointed in the food service there.

Enjoyable stay, I stayed here as a Birthday/Mother's Day present for my mom. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very polite and professional young lady, Sudhaa. I shared with her the reason for my stay, and she was all in for the Birthday surprise shenanigans and helped me execute my plan flawlessly. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for a reasonable charge, serving a variety of Caribbean and continental dishes. I am glad there was a variety of local dishes, which is a plus, after all, I am in Trinidad. The only downside would be the hotel's location, should you decide to venture out it's a bit of a walk to shops and food, and the area does not have many other people walking in a group setting sure have at it. Other than the breakfast buffet, the food options are a bit pricey. I was also charged for a movie I did not watch, and I did not receive a refund when I questioned it. The hotel is well-maintained, and the sheets, towels, and bathroom were fresh and clean. Thank you, Sudhaa, for making my Mothers 81st birthday a special one.
