I originally booked this place due to the rating but it was evident upon arrival that this place hadn’t been maintained or updated in years. There were torn window screens, inside there was sloppy paint and wall repairs and old carpet in the room I reserved for me and my dog. There was a significantly strong odor that resembled body odor outside and around the entire building, but the inside had a pleasant smell.
The elevator was helpful. When I got to my second floor room, the AC had not been turned on and a ceiling fan was present but the cord was wrapped around the blades and I couldn’t reach it. It was a super humid and hot evening/morning (I arrived around 3am) and it took over 40 minutes for the room to cool down. There was sloppy “repair” and paint work (smeared drips) yet again in the bathroom and vanity area.
The bed and pillows were comfortable as were the sheets. However, there was a stiff, itchy, thin, not quite a wool blanket, but not quite a comforter on top.
Overall I felt safe in the area, was able to sleep in a little (appreciated the 11am check out although how to check out wasn’t explained so I hope leaving the key card at the desk was okay) and sleep comfortably. I appreciated the low $ pet fee, however
