The property inside is very nice, the rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hot water for the bath/shower was warm at best. The surrounding area is not the nicest part of Cusco and it is a little far away from the historic old town.

The good: New, attractive, surgically clean accommodations. More secluded, quiet location. Great view of town from the rooftop bar. Staff couldn't be more friendly and pretty good English. The not as good: About a mile and a half walk to the plaza (walk back is uphill) no sound deadening in the building, beds are kind of comfortable, Window above the entry door lets light in as long as the hall light is on.

I loved the thoughtful welcome basket, the complimentary breakfast each morning, and the daily hot water and tea bags—such cozy touches. The laundry amenities were also super convenient. Ayni felt safe, comfortable, and like a true home base in Cusco. Highly recommend!!
