Convenient location, nice place

The staff were friendly. The food was good. The shower was awesome. We had a room with a view which was lovely. Rooms were a bit small but overall a lovely visit.

The bed was hard and small and the walls between the rooms very thin. The bathroom was good with an excellent shower. The reception staff welcome was basic. The bar man was rude implying I was being a nuisance and saying I could put the teabag and long life milk capsules on the saucer when I asked where I could put them. I was also amazed they couldn’t serve fresh milk in the hotel lounge. The hotel was soulless and used mainly for bus tour groups when we were staying.

Old fashioned hotel in good location

The hotel had a very good location and we had a nice view of the bay from our window. The parking is limited but we did find a space. The shower in the bathroom was modern but otherwise the hotel had an old fashioned feel. The breakfast was disappointing. It seemed that the hot food had been lying for some time under lamps to keep it warm. There is a very good pizzeria a short walk from the hotel and a quaint square with shops and a cafe very close by.

Staff were all lovely. Room was clean. Walls were thin - you could hear other guests. This didn’t really worry us but I was surprised when I woke at 5:50am and the guests in the neighbouring room had their TV on.

The employees are friendly and we were allowed to get our food in the lobby so our dog could be with us. Sadly, the hotel has no flair and is pretty ran down. It is way too overpriced for what you get and we only booked it because we didn't have other options. We payed 175 pounds per night plus taxes for the sea view room. Unfortunately, the sea view was damped by having very dirty windows and the room was very small. The restaurant has an average reading of 1,5 stars on Google which made us want to avoid it all together. We were happy, we did when we got the breakfast which was not very good. If you can get any other accommodation on the island, do not book this hotel.

Value for money inadequate

The room and the bath-room were very small, also the double bed was narrow and very uncomfortable. The view from the room was on to the flat roof and chimney. All-in-all the value for money payed was inadequate.

Bra läge men tyvärr knarrar golven otroligt mycket så om man har otur att få någon på våningen ovanför ditt rum och de går upp tidigt, så får du ingen mer sömn.

The hotel is well located, next to a gas station and a nice market. It has available parking. The service is not great. Breakfast is very basic, but that's across all Scotland. Late night personnel are a bit rude.

A large storm caused a power outage while there. While waiting in the lobby, staff brought complimentary sandwiches and soups. Room was very clean and good size. Shower water pressure was not great. The full hot breakfast was excellent. There just wasn’t enough parking for everyone.
