Great Hotel with and Excellent Gym

Great experience at the Rockerfella. The room was spacious and well maintained. The restaurant and breakfast excellent and one of the best equipped gyms I’ve seen at a hotel. Very good value for money. Need to be a bit careful walking around the area though.

The hotel is spectacular and the staff are amazing. A huge well equipped gym, secure underground parking, amazing breakfast, nice roof top bar and pool, smart comfortable rooms. The only downside is the hotel is in town I’m not such a nice area. The area around the hotel doesn’t look nice. This isn’t a problem though as you would just drive or get an Uber where ever you want to go. You wouldn’t want to walk around outside the hotel, especially at night. I highly recommend the hotel. You get much better value staying there than some of the over priced hotels where you are mainly paying for the view. I will stay there again on future visits for sure.

Modern hotel let down by poor service standards

This hotel has a serious problem with staff culture. We encountered numerous problems with staff service levels during our short stay. From staff arguments taking place in front of guests, to being ignored at by both check-in and breakfast staff, to sloppy bartenders and waiters, to the way in which staff address guests. It is clear that staff have not received adequate training and management have failed to inspire staff to perform at their best. We will not be returning to this hotel, which is a shame because this hotel, given the facilities and amenties on offer, has the very real potential to be a premium 4-star property.

Unhelpful rude receptiom staff

This could be a great hotel but the reception staff were rude & unprofessional with an "I dont care" attitude - and those are the people you meet first & last. We had a number of request at reception from a few staff but they were unhelpful. I would never stay here again.

Rockefeller Hotel Don’t Go

Disappointing the staff were not accommodating when we arrived earlier than check in time despite us having emailed to ask if the room could be ready and we were told they would try but no one knew about this on our arrival. My wife got food poisoning from eating dinner in the restaurant and spent the next two days in bed. We were asked to fill in a form despite the fact we told the staff she hadn’t eaten anything else that day so the food poisoning was from the restaurant. The happy hour cocktails tasted watered down compared when paying individually the food in the restaurant generally was very ordinary. Compared with other hotels we have stayed in despite its appearance it was below our expectations would not recommend or go back

I usually do not write reviews unless I had an exceptionally good time or bad time. In this case I had a terrible time. The hotel is clean, and looks nice in hindsight, but there is a large internal problem. My money was stolen at this property. The staff seemed to be responsive in trying to help me launch an investigation and now I have yet to hear anything. I spoke to a few other people and they’ve stated that their money has been stolen at this same hotel. I do not recommend staying here as there are many other hotels in South Africa and around the area. A considerable amount of money was stolen and in all my travels this has never happened to me. Just be careful if you choose to stay here.

Nos deram a chave do quarto errado na hora do check-in, ao entrarmos no quarto percebemos pertences de outra pessoa, voltamos na recepção e nos deram a chave certa. Durante toda estadia ficamos inseguros, diante deste episódio. Cafe da manhã gorduroso, poucas opções de frutas, fraco. Local onde servem o café da manhã sempre com muito movimento, música alta e com cheiro forte de gordura. Ao limparem o quarto não foi deixado toalhas de banho tivemos que pedir e a entrega foi lenta.

Decepção

Cheguei no hotel onde eu iria fazer um check in antecipado um dos membros da recepção informou que eu aguardasse. Passaram 6 horas e ele em nenhum momento informou sobre o quarto. Era muito mais fácil se o mesmo tivesse comunicado que não iria ser possível uma entrada antecipada. Sendo que tinham quartos disponíveis porque era em um dia sem muito movimento.. Para um hotel 5 estrelas eu esperava mais sobre o atendimento.
