Perfect little stay for a great value trip. Rooms comfortable and clean and really comfy beds. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and a great selection of cooked options. We had dinner in the restaurant area the night before which also was very good.

Beautiful place, friendly people, great food

Lovely room with high ceilings, nicely decorated. Only slight issue the bathroom door stuck.
View across the road to the church, amazing grounds with topiar trees

A lovely 1 night stopover

A lovely old hotel in a beautiful town. Ample parking and a warm welcome. The room was well equipped and the bed very comfy. The shower was electric, the water flow was only adequate. I had dinner which was excellent, as was the real ale and the range of wines. The service was friendly but at times it was difficult to gain attention.

Lovely stay in the village of Painswick

Lovely place to stay. Beautifully furnished and maintained. As a Northerners, some of the menu choices were not to our taste, but the pub classics were good. Breakfast was good.

Loved it here. Staff were lovely. Food really nice. Nice beers. Plenty of parking at rear. Left our motorcycles here overnight, felt safe. Super huge comfy bed and brewing up stuff and biscuits in room

A very relaxing stay at the Painswick

A relaxing short stay at the Painswick Hotel.we have been to Painswick a number of times, so this was our first stay at The Painswick. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, to ensure our stay was a good one. The manager was extremely knowledgable and informative regarding Balfour Wines, which assistanced us greatly with our selection.

Falcon

Although the hotel has no life and we were on the top floor, our bags were taken up to our room by the staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating.

6/10 Good

Lovely pub. Menu and Wifi needs attention

Lovely staff, though ended up paying twice on check out because they insisted that we hadn't paid (subsequently reinbursed - we think) The wifi doesn't work and the evening meal in the hotel was slightly strange. Pork Belly is NOT a fatty slice of pork, chipolatas should not really be the size of a Munich bratwurst and £7 for 5 slices of sourdough and some butter seemed a bit steep. We would stay here again however as the staff are all lovely, the rooms were exceptionally clean and it is ideally located.

8/10 Very good

Overall a good, comfortable stay

Pros: good value for money, friendly staff, comfortable, good size room, lovely breakfast. Cons: shower was bad, barely any water pressure and the holder wouldn’t keep the shower up so had to hold it, couple bulbs were either out or flashing. We were on the ground floor and could hear every movement from the room upstairs which was quite annoying.

Higly recommended

The Falcon is a beautiful heritage building in the heart of Painswick just across the road from St Mary's church. The large room we had was in a stable block and was recently refurbished, all very new and spotlessly clean with large up to date TV. Huge en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower with very nice toiletries. Great breakfast and attentive service. Location is perfect for exploring the lanes, alleyways and longer walks in the hills and valleys around Painswick with spactacular views. Off steet parking at the hotel is a huge benefit as parking in Painswick is very difficult.
RICHARD, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Some blemishes around the room, Wi-Fi and smart tv didn’t really worry. Shower pressure was absolutely shocking. But overall a lovely hotel. Just not worth the price we paid.
Peter, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was clean and at first glance impressive but no bath tub no dressing table and mirror and bed gave me bad backache. Main building and bar/reception smelt bad and needs total upgrade looked grubby. Not impressed at all

Dårlig mad og betjening, alt for dårlige værelser til prisen. Gardinet kunne ikke køres op.
