Lovely size room clean and comfortable. Great hotel and great gym. Felt £20 to use the pool as a resident was too steep though which was a shame as I was looking forward to it but couldn’t justify that cost

Lovely hotel,staff were wonderful but you can not access any of the facilities without paying £20 for 2 hours. This was very disappointing as I booked the hotel for the facilities and wasn’t expecting the extra cost which apparently you have to read the small print in the t&cs to find out even though they are listed when booking the room. Other than that the food and staff were great. We did get put in room 139 and had to complain about the noise from the function room and another guest from 136 also ended up having to be moved so I would definitely check with reception when checking in.

Very disappointed

Room was small, shutter blind did not close properly and let in sunlight right above your head meaning we were awake early. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, shower tap was faulty meaning we had cold showers. Not what we were expecting from a golf resort and spa. Told the receptionist at checkout and no offer of a reduction in price despite the above issues.

We stayed here for the MotoGP at Silverstone, about a 30 minute drive away. All the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and the hotel itself is a comfortable place. Reasonable price compared to what was on offer in Silverstone. Didn’t have dinner here so can’t comment, but we did have a good breakfast here each day. Would probably stay here again next year.

Comfortable but dated

Friendly and helpful staff. Good food at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, though the room was confortable, it was dated and extremely hot with no effective ventilation. Disappointing also that the swimming was only accessible to adults (or children >16 year old) and at a fee of £20/person. This should be made clear at booking with regard to the Spa.

Fitness centre, had to wait 15 minutes to be let into the gym as sign said ring this number as I am away. I did and no answer. Went to reception and a rude receptionist (male, light coloured hair) said they are probably doing a pool test so you will have to wait. I said I rang the number advertised and he said there's no reception where they are, so what is the point of a number. Why not have the room key double up as a swipe? I then asked for a fan for the room, sorry none available, maybe tomorrow. No room number taken or name to send me one when they arrived.

Good staff, good location very peaceful, great English breakfast. Room very clean but a little dated, no fridge and fan on its last legs. Some updating going on which should sort this out. Spa facility also being upgraded so closed currently. Struggled with cold water supply during the heatwave ( maybe needed to drain a lake ). We will be back next year.

Old & tired

A very tired hotel, our bathroom wasn't cleaned at all and the room could do with updating in every way. the double bed was two singles put together. Then from 7pm to midnight there was an event going on directly under our room that was so loud you couldn't here the tv in the room. The front desk didn't seem to care at all at the many complaints being received. The restaurant was okay but massively over priced.

Location was nice but the receptionist was not helpful at all, early check in was still charged at fully price for 40 mins early even after I had spoken to the resort twice in the day to have a room ready. No manager to speak to and no choice but to pay or wait till 3pm regardless of a wedding going on. No A/C, wasps come in, would not recommend.

Rooms small and noise from patio area. Water was slow and lukewarm, making for a length and cold bath. Poor communications from booking staff. No confirmations sent to confirm booking's for restaurant or bowling. This was a large group of family and friends for a wedding at nearby venue.

Sadly not a great review 😕 1st and last time

The view from our room was beautiful and the bed was lovely. The hotel was very clean and the temperature was comfortable. Ghe steak and chips for lunch which was very nice and fairly priced but unfortunately these were the only postives. We recieved a bit of a cold Reception upon arrival and I didn't see 1 member of staff smile the whole time we were there. The room had no bath mat and no bottled water for the kettle. The breakfast was just shocking but the hash browns were nice. The fire alarm went off just before 11:00am and the staff clearly were not trained properly for situation which was extremely concerning and frustrating. We stayed in a suite for about 200 for the night but it wasn't worth it and we would not stay here again.
