Todo estuvo muy bueno solo que la piscina la mañana del domingo estuvo cerrada por mantenimiento a las 11 am aún seguía cerrada. El hidromasaje cerrado porque estaba dañado fueron cosas que no pudimos disfrutar en nuestra estadía …el fin de semana no deben poner en mantenimiento la piscina ..es una sugerencia

Loved the pool and nearby restaurants and very good price! The shower is a bit tricky due to it’s for Med Purposes or people who need room for wheelchairs but other than that it’s a great room

When I came in, although the front desk person was there, not once. Did he look up or say hello. there was a father with a small daughter waiting for some information from the person at the front desk who again didn't seem to be paying them any attention. they finally just left. This person at the front desk was not friendly at all. And once he did get to me between 5 and 10 minutes later, he gave me the impression. I was bothering him. his whole behavior seemed very rudehis whole behavior seemed very rude. He finally gave me a room, told me one number. And yet the room was actually several doors down. this would not have been bad, except after someone is knocking on my door it was somebody who was not a personnel person. he was telling me he was supposed to be staying in this room and I've already been in this room for about 2 hours. shortly after that, I got a phone call from someone allegedly from the front desk. Asking me what room I was in? And when I told him I have been in this room for 2 hours. Then, he said, okay. i was very nervous throughout the whole night because of this. i was too scared to sleep. I know reading something is open to interpretation so I apologize if this comes off rude. My mother-in-law had a massive stroke and has lived in Ames Iowa her whole life The only hospital that would provide the surgery care she needed was in your city at the Mayo clinic. What was supposed to be a one-day stay with family turned into needing a hotel for two nights checking out and checking into another location for multiple reasons for the remainder of my wife's stay for her mother. Let me start by saying that my wife is an amputee she uses a prosthetic leg for mobility and your front desk help was very accommodating to get her a shower chair. However I paid for a king suite for her trying to pamper her the best that I could while she's going through what she's going through in turn she got a double queen room directly next to a exterior door that slams all night long because of the type of clientele that frequence your establishment. The pictures online made it look like it was a nice place family oriented stay. Which turned out to be a television that didn't work a lamp that wouldn't turn on an alarm clock that was an hour behind not your fault The odor of the air conditioner permeating the room and the construction workers cat calling me to and from my car making me feel extremely unsafe while trying to keep my mother alive completely uncalled for I feel disrespected I feel deceived and I will never stay at your location again nor will I refer anyone to your location if som

wonderful one night short stay

It took us a little while to find the hotel as there is no flashing sign near the hotel but it was a wonderful experience for us. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!

The agent that checked is in had everything ready. She was friendly & helpful. The room was clean & neat. The carpet, however, needs replacing. It was torn by the entrance door & the bathroom door.

The room was supposed to be a suite but I received a standard room. The toilet was dirty but everything else was clean. Nice staff, decent amenities and wonderful hamburger in the restaurant.

Adequate basic hotel but needs upgrading

This hotel was adequate for our multi-day strip for at Mayo. It was in a good location - close to Mayo, close to Hy-Vee grocery store, etc.. The beds were fairly comfortable and the hotel was quiet. There was a nice sized refrigerator in the rooms with kitchenettes. The hotel was fairly clean. Just know they are noted as a 2 or 2.5 star hotel. There is no full-time maintenance around the clock, so when our toilet overflowed late at night, they gave us a plunger to fix it. The had a single person at the front desk and they had a sign at the desk periodically that they stepped away temporarily. The swimming pool was broken on the first day, and the hot tub was blocked off during our stay, so call to see if they are working for your stay. The breakfast was so-so - nothing special and we usually skipped it. The house keeping service is limited - they will change towels and bedding, but they do not clean the dishes in the kitchenette. Some negatives were that there are many parts of the hotel in need of upgrading. The toilet seat in our room was worn out (see pic). That is a cheap item to replace. The toilet paper holders were rusty (see pic). The burner in the stove in the kitchen was dirty (see pic), and we didn't feel comfortable using it. The stove burners were sticking up (not flat). The hallway had scratches in the paint. The door to our room was hard to close and made the door frame shake when you close it hard.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is

Not sure how the two queen room got a 9.4 excellent rating but it must have been some unethical review stacking. Here are some observations: - Building is probably a 1980s era holiday inn - hallways have an institutional/prison feel - Room had stale old-man smell - carpet was worn and lumpy - furniture was outdated and broken. Some drawers wouldnt open and trim was loose. - sheets and towels had hard water stains - bed was saggy and lumpy but comfortable if thats your thing - there was a used kleenex and "product" packaging next to the nightstand - toilet tank lid didnt fit - shower spray selector didnt work - tub did not drain. - paint chipping on walls and ceiling - mold spots on bathroom ceiling I was in town for an outpatient surgery at Mayo and just hoping for a simple clean comfortable nights rest. Wife wouldn't sleep under covers. Some advice: 1. Don't believe all ratings 2. You get what you pay for. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. 3. Use google maps street view to look at hotel before you book.
