The property was in a good spot and very clean. We booked for 3 adults but the sofa bed was awful. One night was a cold shower.

Rooms are a little out dated, but hotel is being Reno’d at the moment. Other than that, excellent location, friendly staff, easy parking. Will be back!

The property is undergoing renovations, so will only get better. What I liked: - Bus stops right out front, so easy and inexpensive transfer from the airport. - Walkable to town, but far enough away to be quiet. - Decent buffet breakfast options - Nice view of the lake - Front desk staff were extremely helpful in reconfirming any tours we had booked. - Nice little beach\park area across the street to enjoy. We had the one bedroom suite - definitely tired and dated, but was still comfortable. No AC, so opened the windows at night which was fine.
Denise, 5-night trip

I was there for a conference so was handy to have the conference and accommodation all in the one venue. Great conference facilities.

Hey Expedia why did you ask me to review a hotel I didn’t stay in. The hotel let you know 4 weeks before my check in day that they couldn’t accommodate me due to restorations. It took you another 2 weeks to try and find me an alternative hotel. And then didn’t give me the equivalent facilities. Poor form.
Andrea, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice location and ok hotel

Pleased with the choice of hotel being the peak season as easily walkable to the centre. They had a problem it seems with the previous guests so the carpet was wet and being disinfected. Not their fault. But not so pleasant for us. The bathroom and hotel are a bit tired. Could do with a freshen up.
Roy, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

I liked the CD location and how quiet it was
Steve, 1-night trip

Great location with an easy walk to town. Great view and helpful staff. Extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom and burger buns were too greasy.

2/10 Poor

Terrible experience. Don't stay.
David, 3-night trip

It’s an expensive hotel that hasn’t been maintained to reflect the price. Noise between rooms (we did call reception at 3am for them to help with our noisy neighbours but nothing was done). The rooms are basic and dated. If it wasn’t so expensive I wouldn’t think much of it but the $$ doesn’t reflect the standard. To be clear it’s not a terrible place but it’s just not a fair price. As people who travel to Queenstown often, we know the options out there from basic to luxury and this fits in the middle of standards but higher price end. In saying that - location is nice. Great Lake views and a nice flat walk to town. The dining options are great and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. Dinner and drinks at the bar is always nice too with the views. There are renovations happening so that will be welcomed.

The view from our apartment was magnificent.Staff changed our room upon our request as the room allocated was not in the area that we were accustomed to whilst staying at Rydges on other ocassions. That service was great. In our times there we have been a little disappointed in the menu offered.
Gavin, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I stayed here with my mum for her birthday from the end of June to early July. The staff were extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. Their breakfast buffet was a plus! Plenty of options to choose from. We also loved the views from our room and the convenience of the location. The main town was within walking distance. Highly recommend booking here if you appreciate good service, convenience and location. We will be back again for sure!
Diana, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

The rooms are not sound proof at all, we could hear conversations next door so clearly. Not great for a relaxing stay or sleep
