I am not one that normally leaves a poor review or complains. This hotel had a good review so we booked it.
Jennifer at the front desk was very helpful and made the check in easy. When we walked into our room it smelled of smoke and we brought this up to Jennifer then put us in another room.
When we went into the second room it appeared clean, but we were horrified after unfolding the sofa bed. There were stained sheets with a crusty face cloth tucked in with the sheet. Upon lifting the very worn mattress we also discovered absolute filth.
We brought this up to Jennifer who then gave us a third room which was cleaner and we were able to finally go to bed after driving 14 hours that day.
The cleaning staff obviously did not do their job on this particular day.
I chose Sonesta as I have heard wonderful things from friends who have stayed with this chain. Myself, I will not be returning to Sonesta and will look for chains I have stayed with before.
