"I saved up, to take my autistic son up to Niagara Falls, for his 19th birthday. We got the suite, because we wanted the hot tub and the great view. The room was magnificent, the view was breathtaking, my rating, is based on experiences that we had during our stay. The only thing my son wanted to do, was swim. We could not get anywhere near the pool, any of them. We signed up, and followed the appropriate channels. Sadly, others did not. Because of my son‘s Disability, he would not even attempt to squish him to the swimming pool. Also, I sent him down to the front desk to ask a question. Because of his autism, they didn’t understand what he was asking for, and not a lot of effort was put in to trying to figure it out. pool was overflowing, in an unsafe manner, in my opinion. I went to the desk twice, to alert them to the fact that we couldn’t even get in the pool, let alone swim. I asked if there was a lifeguard on, they said no there was an attendant. Numbers were not being monitored. When I went to the desk, they offered me a swim time of 8 AM, Sunday morning. Obviously, more on vacation. We’re not gonna get up at 8 AM to go for a swim. So the whole reason we chose your beautiful facility, was for the hot tubs and pool, and we didn’t get to use it at all. Also, I requested some toiletries from the front desk, after three hours I stopped waiting. So my feedback would be to police the swimming pool area, so that all paying guests, can enjoy the facilities. thank you so much."
"Before i booked with this hotel it didn't state that they're garage parking was only big enough for admaller veichles. I drove from calgary to Toronto, on the way there was a highway closure due to a snow storm which made it impossible to make it in time for my first night booking which i was charged for. Once I arrived they mentioned my suv wouldn't fit in there parking garage, but they had limited parking spaces outside the hotel which were already full. I had to then find parking on my own and ended up parking on the road with other veichles later to find out that you weren't suppose to park there so i got a ticket. After finally getting into my room first thing i wanted to do was take a hot shower the hot water wasn't working and they said they'll send the maintenence guy. Once he came he didn't fix the issue and i said to leave it as i was exhausted and said I'd talk to reception about switching rooms in the morning. The balcony door was broken and wasn't closing properly as well. Elevators take forever as the hotel is full of families, which is understandable but still very frustrating. Won't be booking again."
"We had no hot water in the shower. Plenty from the tap but the shower valve was bad. Rooms are okay condition but not 5 star. Bedding was very good. Staff are fantastic. I told the checkout person about the lack of hot water and only got a "sorry". I expected a token of redress for it. Previous visit was similar but TV remote did not work nor did the using your iPhone as a remote option. Little things maybe, but there are lots of other options available that get these things right."
