"The room was clean, however the first weekend we stayed before going to Santorini we didn’t have air conditioning which sucked. But when we came back the air conditioning was working and the second stay was much more enjoyable. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of different things to choose from. "
"We had stayed at the Athens Gate Hotel in the past and enjoyed it very much. The rooftop patio and restaurant offered a great selection of delicious cocktails and meals along with a great buffet breakfast. The views from the restaurant are spectacular! The Acropolis and Parthenon are visible from one side and the Temple of Zeus from another. Within walking distance to a pedestrian walkway offering souvenirs, drinks, gelato and more. Restaurants are aplenty along the way as well as the Acropolis Museum further up.
Hop On Hop Off buses are also close by.
Staff are simply amazing! Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Check in went smoothly despite people checking in and out, cruise ship passengers coming and going. A comfortable seating area was available while we waited for our room to be ready which was made accessible to us prior to the 3pm check in time. Room was clean with comfortable beds, a large clean washroom and a view of the Temple of Zeus. A welcoming bottle of a nice white wine awaited us, courtesy of the hotel manager. As they say it is “your home in Athens.”"
